Midterm reflection
1. Midterm Reflection
This quarter in spanish class I learned a lot of new material on a variety of topics
while still reviewing all of my current knowledge from past spanish courses. I have
learned vocabulary about invitations, vacations, and the news. Along with vocabulary I
have also learned new grammar such as pluscuamperfect, present perfect and
imperfect progressive.
I had a lot more trouble this quarter in spanish then I have had in past spanish
classes. Although I struggled with the grammar much more than I have done in the
past, I still enjoyed the class and learning all the new vocabulary. I can speak about
more topics and express my ideas throughly, more through writing than through
speaking. I really still need to improve on my grammar skills. The grammar has always
been a big struggle for me, even in past classes. I think by improving my study habits,
and asking more questions about what I don’t understand in class, I will be able to
improve my knowledge on this subject.
At the beginning of this quarter, I started out doing really well but over time, my
grades started to slip as the content got more difficult. I think my grade could’ve been a
lot higher if I would’ve tried a lot harder instead of giving up when I didn’t feel I could do
it anymore. If I choose to continue on into Spanish Four, I know it will only get harder as
I progress through the class and I realize studying will be a big factor in my grade. I
