This final semester in Spanish III, I learned a lot more vocabulary and grammar.
I can now talk about the arts, things in the city, travel and professions. I can use the
subjunctive tense, conditional tense, future tense, and conditional perfect tense. This
semester was easier then the last mostly because I could understand the grammar
more.
I enjoyed the travel section the most because I understood the material throughly
and studied every night. This section used the future tense which is the tense I did the
best on. My least favorite section was the city chapter. Even though I knew the
vocabulary, I didn’t do very well on the grammar aspect of the chapter. This chapter
used command forms of verbs which I didn’t really understand. Even from my very first
semester of spanish, I was weak on grammar and different tenses. I still need to
practice and improve on this aspect of the language. The class probably would’ve been
easier if I would’ve paid more attention and studied more grammar.
Although I enjoyed this class and I enjoy studying the language, I do not think I
will continue on in the course. My grades over this past year with Spanish One and
Two have slipped drastically. I feel if I took Spanish Four I would not excel like I want
to. I wish I would’ve taken this class more seriously because I do enjoy learning and
