Microlearning can help knowledge workers learn on demand and embed learning into their work processes. However, new forms of guidance are needed to determine what type of microlearning is appropriate for different people in various situations. The knowledge maturing process shows how ideas emerge and are distributed among communities before being formalized into training, common terminology, and curricula. Microlearning content should be created and used within the contexts of users' activities to provide the most effective on-demand learning support.
