It benefits both parties by allowing the mentee to gain knowledge and confidence while the mentor develops leadership and communication abilities. Effective mentoring relationships establish goals and objectives, have structured processes, and conclude when goals are met. Coaching also aims to help individuals overcome obstacles to achieve goals, but focuses more narrowly on addressing specific issues through questioning and creative problem solving.
