vitreous to adhere to the retina. This puts pressure on the shape of the vitreous causing it to

activate feelings of interpersonal warmth. Their hypothesis was increasing interpersonal warmth

Discrimination against women has been a phenomenon for centuries, lack of women s rights and
equality is a long overdue issue that needs to be abolished. The need to make a concrete connection
between human rights and women s rights is ironic considering that one half of the global population
is female (Hawkins 1). Gender inequality is the pressing current human rights issue, including
disparities in education, employment, healthcare, power and decision making, violence, and poverty
that impacts billions of women and girls from every part of the world throughout their lifetime (UN
Statistical Division, 2010; UN Women, 2011a). The United Nations has extended efforts for growing
global rights effort to compensated the deeply rooted gender inequality (Hawkins 1). This paper
addresses gender based inequality and current global human rights initiatives focused on women, and
action taken by women and human rights defenders (Hawkins 1). While human rights violations can

The tale of Othello written by William Shakespeare is about several things; love, heroism, military,
isolation and sadness. The contrasts of characters within in this play are almost as remarkable as the
themes presented and evoked. Within this piece each character is balanced by another of similar or
contrasting characteristics. Desdemona is balanced by her opposite, Iago. Her love and concern for
others is at one end of the spectrum versus his hatred and concern for self at the other end. All of the
characters present a range and variety as striking and different as that produced by the opposite.

my awareness in the discrimination of women in the education system. During my high school
education, none of the history classes I took included in their curriculum a chapter on Title IX, and

Native American rock art is a big part of early American history. Most of these fragments of history
were destroyed and lost to the public due to vandalism, mass settlement and colonization, and man
made things like dams. The history of the rock art is incredibly fascinating. I was very interested in the
National History Day Fair last year, and I found out about it fairly late. I decided to try to enter it. I
