2. Introduction
I will be finding out what fonts are suitable for my
film genre of my film trailer. I will be using other
trailers similar to Action and Crime Thrillers to see
which one best represents the font we will want to
use in our own. In addition, I will get feedback from
these fonts choices found in a questionnaire
(survey monkey) from my targeted audience.
3. The Bourne Ultimatum
In this film trailer for ‘The Bourne
Ultimatum’ the font used for the
inter-titles are a bright, blue san
serif bold font to demonstrate the
seriousness of the film and relate to
the genre, a fast pace action film.
This does this as it would not
appeal to the audience if it could
suggest a feminine font due to the
fact action/crime films tend to have
a majority of a male target audience
and therefore by having a font such
as the one of ‘the fault in our stars’ it
would not appeal to that specific
audience.
4. After looking at multiple different Action/Crime Thriller
trailers I have found they all have similar conventions to the
font types they use; however not much writing where used
in these trailers as the action contained the target
audiences’ attention. They do not use serif font but san
serif. The conventions of the font seem to be big bold
writing but not as much due to the action as it speaks
volumes.
