cartoony, like the film, as them characters are made to look animated and
cartoony. So the font relates to that. The colour

6. WHAT EFFECTS WE WANT FROM OUR TITLES
•
We want our titles to be clear and simple, so they can be seen easily and stand out
In the cinema if someone goes to see the film.

We also want them to relate to our genre, which is psychological thriller.
•
Also, we want to give the audience the key information, for example who produced it, who
the main actors are and just information so the audience know what they are watching.
•
We want people to remember our titles and to remember the opening of our film.

7. TITLE STYLES WE LIKE
We think that this title design is affective because this typography looks
like its been roughly writing with a sharpie pen and when people write
quickly with sharpie pens it creates a high pitch, annoying sound that
generally makes most people feel uncomfortable. This will give
connotations of a psychological thriller because they also are made to
make the audience watching feel uncomfortable to add to the
effectiveness of the film.
This typography gives strong connotations of
something evil or twisted going on. Because the lines
go thinner in odd places when you look at this
typography it just doesn't look or feel right. This is
effective because it creates a sense of unease for the
audience which already connotes a psychological
horror genre/ theme to the film introduction.
This typography is also effective due to the missing lines at the
bottom which connotes something that you don't know about
that it vital to see the whole picture. It also connotes that this
story is up to interpretation because of the missing lines so
everyone could think of a different way that these should be.
The bold text in capitals also connotes some sort of warning
which connotes a psychological thriller because you have to
look out for signs that something isn't right or that a character
isn't being completely honest or normal.
