Description
The above diagram represents the normal view of the mechanical booster. For
simplicity; all parts are not shown in the figure. Based on the Function, This
machine is mainly divided into 4 major segments

  1)   Energy Storing segment
  2)   Controlling segment
  3)   Transmission segment
  4)   R & C Segment



Let’s describe each segment thoroughly in detail
             e                            detail-

1. ENERGY STORING SEGMENT – As the name implies, this segment stores
energy in the form of potential energy of elastic materials (springs etc). This
segment consists of about 20 Energy Packets. Each packet has about 100 flat
spiral springs. When charged, this spiral springs got strained and stores energy
in the form of strain energy (potential Energy). Note that no two energy
packets are co-axial and parallel.

2) TRANSMISSION SEGMENT This section is used to transmit the stored
                    SEGMENT:                                      he
energy to power the vehicle. This segment includes Gears, main shafts, and
auxiliary shafts. The auxiliary shafts are the shafts, which transmits energy
from the Energy Packet to the Main shaft. All the Shafts from energy packets
are connected to the main shaft. The main shaft and auxiliary shaft are
connected to each other by gear set. Additional gear set is used to connect the
main shaft to External vehicle.



3) CONTROLLING SEGMENT: Controlling segment is used to control the power
                  SEGMENT:
supplied by energy packets. If controlling segment is not there in the machine,
               ergy
then there is no control over the energy supplied by energy packets.
Controlling segment includes about 7 hand operated controllers emerging
from the machine as shown in the figure




  5)   R and C segment This segment is also called as Recharging and
          nd segment-
       Connecting Segment. As the name implies, this section is used to
       recharge the energy packets. This section supports the unit, on which
       running (Exercise) is made by the Energy donor. When running is done,
       this unit rotates the main shaft. And thus the main shaft rotates the
       auxiliary shafts, followed by straining of springs and other elastic
       materials. Thus Energy of Energy donor (Exercise Runner) is stored in the

       form of Potential energy of the springs and elastic material.

The connecting segment includes the additional gear division of main shaft.
This connecting segment is used to connect to the external vehicle.

WORKING -




The Diagram shows the working of the mechanical Booster. As shown in the
figure, when the person is making exercise (say running) on the machine, then
Energy storing segment stores energy. When required, this stored energy is
extracted by a transmission segment and supplied to External vehicle (say
tricycle of PH). The person can able to move on his vehicle comfortably for
certain distance by properly utilizing the controllers.
For example, when you run on this R and C segment of the machine, your
energy is transformed and transferred to Energy packets When the machine is
fully recharged (indicated by sensor), it is connected to tricycle of patients or
handicapped or elder persons. By means of operating of controllers by user,
the stored energy is successfully retraced for moving of his/her vehicle.




From the theoretical derivation we got that , when machine is fully
            eoretical
charged, it can able to move tricycle of overall weight (Tricycle +
Person + Booster) of 90 kg for a distance of 4.2 Km with average
acceleration of 1m/sec2 .( Considering friction)
ADVANTAGES:

         Low Cost ( Basic one, Rs.5000)
         Less maintenance
         Cause zero Pollution
         Suitable for elders, Handicapped and in Hospitals
         Can easily fitted to any type of tricycles ( For Physically handicapped one, HAND OPERATED)
         Having good Monitoring And control
         Less wastage of energy
         Operating this machine required very less skill
         Reduces the energy usage of drivers (Strain during normal hand operating)
         Good efficiency (up to 75 %)

DISADVANTAGES:

       Frequently Required Charging ( For every 5 Km)
       Mileage may varies based on the road conditions ( Slopy,hilly etc)

CONCLUSION:

This machine will store mechanical energy directly and can also call as
MECHANICAL BATTERY. Exercisers by doing exercise and suppling energy to
this machine will get great satisfaction for donating their valuable energy. May
be in future, Like Blood Donation Camps for Blood donors; Energy Donation
Camps will exist for Energy donors to recharge this machine.

Mechanical booster- theory

  • 3. The above diagram represents the normal view of the mechanical booster. For simplicity; all parts are not shown in the figure. Based on the Function, This machine is mainly divided into 4 major segments 1) Energy Storing segment 2) Controlling segment 3) Transmission segment 4) R & C Segment Let’s describe each segment thoroughly in detail e detail- 1. ENERGY STORING SEGMENT – As the name implies, this segment stores energy in the form of potential energy of elastic materials (springs etc). This segment consists of about 20 Energy Packets. Each packet has about 100 flat spiral springs. When charged, this spiral springs got strained and stores energy in the form of strain energy (potential Energy). Note that no two energy packets are co-axial and parallel. axial
  • 4. 2) TRANSMISSION SEGMENT This section is used to transmit the stored SEGMENT: he energy to power the vehicle. This segment includes Gears, main shafts, and auxiliary shafts. The auxiliary shafts are the shafts, which transmits energy from the Energy Packet to the Main shaft. All the Shafts from energy packets are connected to the main shaft. The main shaft and auxiliary shaft are connected to each other by gear set. Additional gear set is used to connect the main shaft to External vehicle. 3) CONTROLLING SEGMENT: Controlling segment is used to control the power SEGMENT: supplied by energy packets. If controlling segment is not there in the machine, ergy then there is no control over the energy supplied by energy packets. Controlling segment includes about 7 hand operated controllers emerging from the machine as shown in the figure 5) R and C segment This segment is also called as Recharging and nd segment- Connecting Segment. As the name implies, this section is used to recharge the energy packets. This section supports the unit, on which running (Exercise) is made by the Energy donor. When running is done, this unit rotates the main shaft. And thus the main shaft rotates the auxiliary shafts, followed by straining of springs and other elastic materials. Thus Energy of Energy donor (Exercise Runner) is stored in the (Exercise- form of Potential energy of the springs and elastic material. springs
  • 5. The connecting segment includes the additional gear division of main shaft. This connecting segment is used to connect to the external vehicle. WORKING - The Diagram shows the working of the mechanical Booster. As shown in the figure, when the person is making exercise (say running) on the machine, then Energy storing segment stores energy. When required, this stored energy is extracted by a transmission segment and supplied to External vehicle (say tricycle of PH). The person can able to move on his vehicle comfortably for certain distance by properly utilizing the controllers.
  • 6. For example, when you run on this R and C segment of the machine, your energy is transformed and transferred to Energy packets When the machine is fully recharged (indicated by sensor), it is connected to tricycle of patients or handicapped or elder persons. By means of operating of controllers by user, the stored energy is successfully retraced for moving of his/her vehicle. From the theoretical derivation we got that , when machine is fully eoretical charged, it can able to move tricycle of overall weight (Tricycle + Person + Booster) of 90 kg for a distance of 4.2 Km with average acceleration of 1m/sec2 .( Considering friction)
  • 7. ADVANTAGES:  Low Cost ( Basic one, Rs.5000)  Less maintenance  Cause zero Pollution  Suitable for elders, Handicapped and in Hospitals  Can easily fitted to any type of tricycles ( For Physically handicapped one, HAND OPERATED)  Having good Monitoring And control  Less wastage of energy  Operating this machine required very less skill  Reduces the energy usage of drivers (Strain during normal hand operating)  Good efficiency (up to 75 %) DISADVANTAGES:  Frequently Required Charging ( For every 5 Km)  Mileage may varies based on the road conditions ( Slopy,hilly etc) CONCLUSION: This machine will store mechanical energy directly and can also call as MECHANICAL BATTERY. Exercisers by doing exercise and suppling energy to this machine will get great satisfaction for donating their valuable energy. May be in future, Like Blood Donation Camps for Blood donors; Energy Donation Camps will exist for Energy donors to recharge this machine.
