The Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), established in 2000, include eight goals aimed at addressing global development issues by 2015, with specific targets like eradicating poverty and promoting gender equality. Following the MDGs, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were adopted in 2015, featuring 17 goals and 169 targets to promote sustainable development by 2030. Bangladesh, having achieved progress on MDGs, aims to tackle SDG challenges through national planning and resource integration, despite facing various implementation hurdles.
