Mars and mars’s moons By Ben Eward Turulski
The red planet Mars , the red planet, is fourth planet from The sun and the most earth-like in our Solar system. It is about half the size of earth and as dry rocky surface. The surface of mars is dry, rocky and mostly covered with iron rich dust there are low lying plains in the northern atmosphere.
The roman god Mars was the roman of war and Jupiter. It may not seem like these two things go together but they do. Mars protected those who fought for there communities and stayed home to raise crops for food depleted into outer space the surface water began to permanently evaporate today the only water on mars is either frozen in the caps or under the ground.
Mars’s moons Mars has two moons their names are deimos and phobos. “Mars” if you weighed 70 pounds on mars you would weigh around 27 pounds on mars. Mars excites scientists because its mild temertant is more like the earth’s than any of the other planets
Mars once had rivers Evidence is that mars once had rivers, streams and lakes even an ocean as atmosphere slowly. These two odd shaped worlds are extremely small only 12.6 and 22.2 kilometers respectively. That is smaller than most towns
gravity Their small size causes their gravity to be weak. Because of this weak gravity. they do not have enough force to pull them selves into a round shape it is thought that this two worlds probably started as asteroids between mars and Jupiter.
mars However the power fall gravity of Jupiter probably flung them out near mars where they were captured eternally by the small red planet
Phobos Phobos to the right is a doomed world those who lived in about 50 million years will never get to see it. Every hundred years it gets almost two meters closer to the surface of mars eventually it will either crash into the planet
The end !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
