Amita Vadlamudi has worked in information technology for more than 30 years, primarily as a computer systems engineer of mainframe and Unix systems and peripherals at a large corporation. Throughout her career, Ms. Vadlamudi supported and maintained a number of complex operating systems and infrastructures, and she also coded a variety of programs for use in the company’s IT network. Among Amita Vadlamudi’s chief duties as a computer systems engineer were to support the company’s Unix systems that ran on Solaris and IBM’s Advanced Interactive eXecutive (AIX) operating systems.
