Evan: I agree with Hayes- REALLY. I mean really, really. NEXT
PART 2 Q: How can we make mars habitable? A: Hayes: Well, you would have to make it warmer and wetter- and, consequentially, more lush. Evan: Sure. I mean, we don’t have all these scientific words to say what we need, but hey? Q: Are you doing mars or just planets? A: Evan+Hayes: MAAAARRRRSS!!!!!!! Home Back
QUIZ Welcome to the Quiz! We’ll test your mars knowledge. Click HERE when you’re ready to start.
There were three mars eras. The first era was a lush time. A perfect time for most creatures to live. There was clay minerals like chasmotite. It was a good time. Info Meteors Climate Works Cited Home The next era was a dangerous one. Acidic lava rained from the sky. Volcanic activity made the lush planet a barren, rocky wasteland. If there were any creatures, they all died out. The third era started many million years ago, and continues to today
Meteors Me and Evan’s project is based on Life On Mars, so let’s talk about this. Mars is one of the only planets in this galaxy that we think could host or could have hosted life. Recently, a meteor from Mars crashed on earth called ALH 84001. This meteor was small, but it contained evidence of life! Nano-sized magnetites were found in this meteor, and they were dubbed as a biosignature. Nothing can seem to explain these magnetites. And there is another meteor called the nahkla meteor. This meteor fell on earth on June 28, 1911. In 1988, a team of scientists from Johnson space center obtained a small piece of this rock for analysis. They found preterrestrial aqueous alteration steps. They also discovered fossilized Nano-Bacteria. But this existence is controversial. Home Back
Climate Mars right now, is in fact quite dry and hot. And also covered with a rather large amount rocks. Its soil is rocky and slightly volcanic. The air and soil is full of iron and oxygen, Which gives the planet its rusty red hue. Did you know is named Mars after the Roman god of war because of its bloody color? And it has pink clouds because of its red dust blown up by wind? It’s true! Home Back
