AURAL To learn better, you should: •attend classes •attend discussions and tutorials •discuss topics with others •discuss topics with your teachers •explain new ideas to other people •use a tape recorder To do better on a test, you should: • Imagine talking with the examiner • Listen to your voices and write them down. • Spend time in quiet places recalling the ideas. • Practice writing answers to old exam questions. • Speak your answers aloud or inside your head.

Editor's Notes

  1. When I took the VARK survey I found out that my strategy is multimodal. Which means that I can learn pretty much any way but I have to have every way presented to me to fully understand. Some strategies are Change the activity every 15 to 20 minutes, Repeat lesion in a couple different ways and to Create activities to help understand better. I think teachers should do their lesion, but present it in different ways so they know that everyone can understand it.
  2. Out of the four strategies my highest was Aural, Aural means that you get information that is spoken or heard, discussed, talking, questioning, or asking again. This is very true for me, because I have realized this before that I learn better when people tell me how to make something or I sit and listen to the professor and ask questions when I don’t understand.
  3. Visual learning was my second strategy picked. You learn best with different formats, space, graphs, charts, diagrams, maps and plans. A visual learner has Well organized spaces, Can tell when something is out of alignment, Eye contact while speaking, Backgrounds can disrupt their listening skills, Doodle during lectures, Have more hands on approach to things. At work I always have to have the place clean, background sound does make me lose focus when a person tell me their drink.
  4. On the VARK website I found a table showing the most popular answer and least popular answer to every question. I tallied it up and made it into a graph so it’s easy to see which was the highest.
  5. In class I try and take notes and listen while trying to stay awake while the teacher is talking the whole class. I try my best to study but I'm not the best at memorizing things but I try my best on tests. I have a planner so I can stay organized of when I work, have class or appointments.
