On 12 June 2024 the Institute for Economic Research and Policy Consulting (IER) held an online event “Economic Trends from a Business Perspective (May 2024)”.
During the event, the results of the 25-th monthly survey of business executives “Ukrainian Business during the war”, which was conducted in May 2024, were presented.
The field stage of the 25-th wave lasted from May 20 to May 31, 2024. In May, 532 companies were surveyed.
The enterprise managers compared the work results in May 2024 with April, assessed the indicators at the time of the survey (May 2024), and gave forecasts for the next two, three, or six months, depending on the question. In certain issues (where indicated), the work results were compared with the pre-war period (before February 24, 2022).

- 3. Weekly Market A weekly market is a market that is set up on a specific day of the week. Most of the time, it is on Tuesday or Thursday. It is not a permanent market. The sellers arrive early in the morning and set up the stalls by noon and then start to sell and usually pack up at night by 10pm. This type of market is locally known as ‘Mandi’.

Mall, Shopping Centres These days in urban areas, where we have large, multi-storeyed, airconditioned buildings with markets inside called ‘Malls ’ In these places, you can get branded items as well as unbranded/local items. However, mainly only rich and upper middle class people usually buy from malls due to the prices being high in malls than other places.
- 5. What exactly is Consumer Awareness? • Consumer Awareness is an act of making sure the buyer or consumer is aware of the information about products, goods, services, and consumers rights.
