- 1. Mark Zuckerberg says connectivity is a basic human right – do you agree?
- 2. What is your understanding of the term “connectivity”? • Connectivity is when you connect from one device to another or connect to a social media app and use that to talk to other people over the world. (“Mark Zuckerberg believes the world is better off connected”) What are Facebook Zero and Wikipedia Zero, and how do these work? Why are these thought to be good for developing countries? • The reason the zero is there after Facebook and Wikipedia is to signify free data. Wikipedia also has the same vision as Facebook, to share the knowledge of every human around the world. Sharing everyone's self knowledge would mean the worlds population in intelligence would gradually increase, so this would be good for the developing countries

What other initiatives are taking place in developing countries, to encourage people to get online? • It shows an estimated amount of people that use the internet in India "In India there are an estimated 200m internet users, but only 30% are women. Google hopes to change this by helping 50 million women go digital over the year” from google doing this we will have more internet users and also many female users. For female users inspirational quotes would attract them. Although the online services such as Facebook and other social media tend to grow more people are introduced to it. Do you agree with Zuckerberg's view that connectivity is a human right? • I agree as It is important for everybody on the planet to be connected in its own way, connectivity helps everybody on the planet to stay aware of their own surrounding E.G the news, earthquakes, tsunami and other important information
- 4. How does your internet behaviour differ from five years ago? Many people now turn to the web for information on key services – are you among them? • Five years ago people would head over to the nearest corner shop to buy a newspaper, five years later people just use their phones to check the news. A lot of things were completely different five years ago as accessibility to the internet wasn’t as easy as it is now. Magazines, tickets and everything we needed five years ago isn’t really used in today lifestyle. Growing up in this generation we cant really see the biggest changes but for someone like our fathers would definitely see the growth and expansion in the media industry (internet) every teenager either owns a iphone or a android device so a lot of people is amongst that group
