2. What is the meaning of the term “connectivity”?
Connectivity is just a more professional way of saying stay in touch
with friends and families across the world because technology has
grown since 2000.
In the past people had to either use a house phone or jump into my
space just to chat or make arrangements. Now we have smart phones
and WIFI so we can stay connected where ever we go.
3. What are Facebook Zero and Wikipedia Zero, and
how do these work?
Facebook zero and Wikipedia zero are the “flagship programs” that
teamed up with mobile phone networks to let people browses the
internet with no data charge that’s why Facebook and Wikipedia both
had a zero at the end to show that they were free.
4. What other initiatives are taking place in
developing countries, to encourage people to get
online?
In country's such as India there are 200m internet users only 30% are
women. Google hopes to change that by introducing 50 million to go
digital over the year by giving them step by step guides and
inspirational quotes like “internet mums make meals fun”.
there are innervations such as brck( portable Wi-Fi hotspot)which can
help in places such as Africa by giving them Wi-Fi and 4G connection
and it has a for hour battery life.
5. Do you agree with Zuckerberg's view that
connectivity is a human right?
I agree with what Zuckerberg's views because in the past we would of
only been able to promote our business though e-mail or word-of-
mouth. Now we have social media we are able to promote our business
though Instagram, Facebook even twitter so the evaluation of
connectivity is a human right in my opinion.
6. How does your internet behaviour differ from five
years ago? Many people now turn to the web for
information on key services – are you among
them?
My internet use has grown over the last 5 years and now I use many
apps such as videoshow and YouTube a lot more than In the past and I
also turn to the web for information because you can get more detail
and many news papers are now online.
