2. Today I have learnt how to edit my
picture in Photoshop. I edited text
and added colour and stroke. I learnt
how to get rid off white background
for my text. I also learnt about how to
represent rock music through taking
an image of my model. The image of
the model shown in these pictures is
not going to be the final image for my
contents page.
3. In these print screen, I show that I learnt how to add text on the front
page and add cover lines, main cover line, barcode, Priceline and issue
number. To manipulate the image I used the black and white filter on
the front cover image as it represents the rough background of rock.
Also, I added a shape which was a star, to be my puff and it catches the
audiences attention. I also, learnt how to use ‘character’ to bring my
text together, and so that I can add more text on the page.
4. In these print screens you can see that I have
learnt how to add a stroke to my text which
makes it stand out to the audience and changing
the colour of the text. I have also added to my
main cover line and have added some text on
the right hand side corner which gives extra
information to the audience about my magazine.
5. In these print screens
you can see, that I
added a banner at the
bottom of the front
cover with a catchy
phrase which stand out
to the audience. I have
also learnt how to add
extra cover line's which
fills up the empty space.
I did this by going onto
windows clicking on
‘character’ and making
the text come closer
together. I added more
colour to the text to
make my magazine pop.
6. Contents page
I learnt how to transfer my masthead over from my front cover onto my
contents page. I just had to minimise the screen and drag the layer over. I
also made a title and added colour to it. I added the picture that I am going
to use for the contents page and got ready to manipulate some of them.
7. HERE YOU CAN SEE
THAT I HAVE EDITED
THE IMAGE BY TAKING
THE BACKGROUND
AWAY AND PLACING A
STUDIO BEHIND THE
GIRLS. HOWEVER, I
WILL NOT BE USING
THIS IMAGE ON THE
CONTENTS PAGE
ANYMORE AS I
NEEDED MORE
ARTISTS. I LEARNT
HOW TO ADD PAGE
NUMBERS, SPEECH
BUBBLES AND TEXT TO
THE CONTENTS PAGE.
8. These print screens show that I learnt how to cut one of the girls out the image and place one into a
blank background and one in a studio background. I also learnt that I could use rectangles very
slimly to separate the pages.
9. I added a puff in the right hand side corner to pop out to the audience. Added stroke to the images. Added borders
around text. I also manipulated the image of Runa as I learnt how to make it black and white.
10. In these print screens, you can see that I have added page numbers and speech bubbles to guide my audiences to the pages that
they should go to find specific information. I coloured the found out how to colour the rectangles black using the fill tool. I added
extra information at the bottom of the page to show the audience more about what is inside the magazine. I have also included a
page number on the bottom right hand side of the page to show the audience what page they are on.
11. DPS
In these print screens you can see that I have cut around the main models
picture and I have added a concert background, that I personally took and
placed her upon it. Resized the background so that it would fit the model.
12. These print screens are from InDesign, it shows that I learnt how to insert my main
image into one side of the page and I learnt how to insert my text onto the double page
spread using the text box tool. Also, I knew that my article could not fit only one text
box as it came up with an error, this meant then I learnt that I should make another text
box and put the excess text onto the other text box.
13. In these print screens you can see that I have learnt how to re colour the text into whatever colour I like and I used the swatches
tool to do this. I also learnt how to add a headline, stand first and by-line. I used a text box to add all of these features. In addition, I
added a grab quote and made my text wrap around it. This meant the grab quote would pop out towards the audience.
14. In these print screens, you can see that I am re colouring my text and adding captions to my pictures.
In this print screen you can see that I have learnt how to colour
the background. For this I drew a rectangle around the pages
and, clicked on the swatches box and changed the colour. I also
re arranged the box so it was sent t the back of the text. I did this
by right clicking and clicking on the rearrange button.
Also, I got rid of all the hyphens so that it could bring my text
together more. I used the hyphen button do this.
15. In these pictures, you can see that I have re arranged my
image and have increased the size hugely. I have spread the
image across both the pages and I have put the text upon
the image. I have also coloured the text differently so that it
would suit the background more. In the end I went with a
black, white, grey and red colour scheme, as I learnt that
these colour go the best together.
