After an image has been segmented into regions ; the resulting pixels is usually is represented and described in suitable form for further computer processing.
Efficient and accurate object detection has been an important topic in the advancement of computer vision systems.
Our project aims to detect the object with the goal of achieving high accuracy with a real-time performance.
In this project, we use a completely deep learning based approach to solve the problem of object detection.
The input to the system will be a real time image, and the output will be a bounding box corresponding to all the objects in the image, along with the class of object in each box.
Objective -
Develop a application that detects an object and it can be used for vehicles counting, when the object is a vehicle such as a bicycle or car, it can count how many vehicles have passed from a particular area or road and it can recognize human activity too.
A presentation on Image Recognition, the basic definition and working of Image Recognition, Edge Detection, Neural Networks, use of Convolutional Neural Network in Image Recognition, Applications, Future Scope and Conclusion
This presentation describes briefly about the image enhancement in spatial domain, basic gray level transformation, histogram processing, enhancement using arithmetic/ logical operation, basics of spatial filtering and local enhancements.

The presentation is made on CNN's which is explained using the image classification problem, the presentation was prepared in perspective of understanding computer vision and its applications. I tried to explain the CNN in the most simple way possible as for my understanding. This presentation helps the beginners of CNN to have a brief idea about the architecture and different layers in the architecture of CNN with the example. Please do refer the references in the last slide for a better idea on working of CNN. In this presentation, I have also discussed the different types of CNN(not all) and the applications of Computer Vision.

Talk by Dr. Nikita Morikiakov on inverse problems in medical imaging with deep learning.
Inverse problem is the type of problems in natural sciences when one has to infer from a set of observations the causal factors that produced them. In medical imaging, important examples of inverse problems would be recontruction in CT and MRI, where the volumetric representation of an object is computed from the projection and Fourier space data respectively. In a classical approach, one relies on domain specific knowledge contained in physical-analytical models to develop a reconstruction algorithm, which is often given by a certain iterative refinement procedure. Recent research in inverse problems seeks to develop a mathematically coherent foundation for combining data driven models, based on deep learning, with the analytical knowledge contained in the classical reconstruction procedures. In this talk we will give a brief overview of these developments and then focus on particular applications in Digital Breast Tomosynthesis and MRI reconstruction.

Graph Representation Learning with Deep Embedding Approach:
Graphs are commonly used data structure for representing the real-world relationships, e.g., molecular structure, knowledge graphs, social and communication networks. The effective encoding of graphical information is essential to the success of such applications. In this talk I’ll first describe a general deep learning framework, namely structure2vec, for end to end graph feature representation learning. Then I’ll present the direct application of this model on graph problems on different scales, including community detection and molecule graph classification/regression. We then extend the embedding idea to temporal evolving user-product interaction graph for recommendation. Finally I’ll present our latest work on leveraging the reinforcement learning technique for graph combinatorial optimization, including vertex cover problem for social influence maximization and traveling salesman problem for scheduling management.
