The Hofstede Model Of Cultural Differences
Communication is one of the most important aspects of our lives. It is a process that ties us together
and helps us to get most of our work done. Communication plays a big role in transmitting cultural
values from one generation to the next. Communication can be categorized as two; verbal and non
verbal. In a multiracial country such as Malaysia good communication can be considered as a savior to
keep everyone united. Being a multiracial country, it shows the existence of cultural diversity in
Malaysia. Cultural diversity often leads to society s biggest challenge.

and the culture of the largest ethnic group in Malaysia; the Malay ... Show more content on

Malay is the largest ethnic group in Malaysia and Malay language is their mother tongue. Malay
language is Malaysia s official language.
Before we go deeper into the communication aspect, let us analyse the general cultural values from
these two major ethnic in Malaysia. The Hofstede Model of Cultural Dimensions can be a great use
when it comes to analyzing cultures. Hofstede basically treats all Malaysian cultures equally.
However, as based on the Hofstede Model of Cultural Dimensions, to compare both the Malaysian
Malay and Indian cultures, both of these cultures actually falls under the high context culture. High
context communication involves emotions and close relationships while low context interactions use
the logical part of the brain and are less personal. However, this does not mean these two cultures are
equally the same with one another as there are similarities and differences between these two cultures.
As there are many aspects of cultures that can be studied and described about the two cultures, only
few major aspects of cultural values will be discussed in this paper. One of the major cultural values
that can be compared between the two cultures is the Malays rank honesty as first on their list of
cultural values whereas the Indians find family as the important aspect in their cultural values.
In terms of marriage and weddings, there is a pure mix of cultures within the Hindu and the Malay
weddings, which are

The Credibility Of Media Analysis
In today s world, technology consumes the daily life of many citizens. With the availability of the
media at our very fingertips, we have become loyal to the media. Many people rely on the media for
the news and important information going on in the world, when at one point you could only find this
in the daily newspaper that was dropped off at your door every morning. There is an issue with relying
on the media for important information, and that is because they manipulate us. They make us believe
what they want and it s become almost a form of entertainment, similar to TMZ. Let s start off by
looking at CNN, which is popular for world news and politics. You would think that if they were
covering these important topics, then they would be reliable, but that is not the ... Show more content

A Syrian actor was used and effects were added into the video, in order to make it look realistic. The
actor, Danny, was saw in the video footage and asked to get the gunfire sounds ready, before his video

couches. Another recognizable name commonly releases information that they want us to read, which
is TIME Magazine. If you take a look at the cover of TIME Magazine in the US and those in other
countries you will see that our country tends to always have a different cover story, then everyone
else. TIME is one of the biggest news magazines there is and they can reach and influence a lot of
people in the United States. It seems as if some of the covers are chosen for political reasons, but in
the end it comes down to market research and wanting to increase their sales. Now that could be a
completely wrong assumption, but that is what the evidence leads to as well as censorship. Not only
are we manipulated by the TV news stations and magazines, but in the advertisements we see
everywhere. This is a popular topic of anger because many people are aware of the fact that companies

The MIT Artificial Intelligence (AI Lab)
From the macro/micro perspective, the world of the electron, despite its extraordinarily minuscule
size, is the foundation of society. Computers have not only brought us electronic shopping, email, and
online banking, but now control our cars, how we board a plane, our MP3 players, and almost every
other aspect of our lives. With any great advancement in civilization, there are always those souls who
seek to capitalize on the misfortune of others by finding some way to exploit a weakness in the newest
technology available; the computer industry is no exception. With the thousands of Gigabytes of data

information, it was only a matter of time before ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Etymologically speaking, hacking began in the 1960 s with MIT s Tech Model Railroad Club. Due to
the exceptionally slow speeds of mainframe computers at that time, (personal computers were not
invented yet), software programmers came up with hacks to improve the processing time of their
programs. These hackers became the core of the MIT Artificial Intelligence Lab (AI Lab). Their
talents pushed a program beyond its intended capabilities, at the same time expanding their personal
programming talents and the professional reputation of the AI Lab. These individuals believed the
educational bureaucracy at MIT should not come into direct conflict with being able to accomplish
any productive task. The hackers picked door locks, climbed ducts, or came up through the
floorboards all in an effort to have access to computers to test their software code. Even now, there is a
big wrench at the AI Lab titled, the seventh floor master key to be used in case anyone dares to lock
up one of the more fancy terminals (Schell, The Hacking of America: Who s Doing It, Why, and How
44). One of the ways in which hackers are ensuring the freedom to information across the Internet is
through the Open Source movement. Open Source means that whenever a software programmer
writes a piece of code, they release it to the public as free information. The code is available, free of
charge, incorporated into other software programs (applications and/or operating

Social Aspects Of Social Norm
A social norm that strikes my fascination is in the initial actions, responses, and facial expressions
individuals convey when greeting other people, whether a person is acknowledging a friend, co
worker, family member, or a stranger, one would think that each person would greet everyone in
somewhat the same manner due to the nature of one s personality and regardless of their relationship
to that individual. I had the assumption that when people have a very bubbly and outgoing personality
they would greet everyone in the same vivacious way. Likewise, when individuals are more reserved
and less likely to take the initiative in introducing themselves to a stranger, I figured they would be
more shy and quiet in their responses. So what I wanted to do was count to three out loud before
saying, Hello back to my friends, co workers, family members, and strangers greetings and see how
they would react to this social norm violation. Therefore, the social norm I chose to break was failing
to respond directly to a person s greeting in the normal response rate and additionally counting out
loud to three before replying.
To get a fairly accurate conclusion of my findings, I responded to sixteen greetings in this peculiar
way. I gathered the reactions from four friends, four co workers, four family members (although three
were over the phone), and four random strangers who came up to talk to me. Of the twelve individuals
I know personally, all of their personalities vary in the

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Trinitrotoluene
TNT is more accurately known as Trinitrotoluene (more specifically 2,4,6 trinitrotoluene), a Class A
explosive. Its molecular formula is C7H5N3O6 OR C6H2(CH3)(NO2)3 OR C6H2(NO2)3CH3. This
compound includes the elements Carbon, Hydrogen, Nitrogen, and Oxygen, notably 37.0% Carbon,
2.2% Hydrogen, 18.5% Nitrogen, and 42.3% Oxygen. It is an explosive chemical (a combustible
solid) with toxic and hazardous effects. Commonly experienced symptoms due to exposure mainly
include headaches, weakness, anemia, liver injury, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, dermatitis, cyanosis,
toxic hepatitis, etc. It s an incredibly hazardous explosive, considering it is absorbed by the skin, its
vapors are toxic, toxic fumes are released when decomposed due to high temperatures, and it
detonates under excessive shock or heat. Physically, TNT is a colorless or pale yellow and odorless
solid or crushed flake, and it is synthetic (does not occur naturally on Earth). It has a molecular weight
of 227.132 g/mol, hydrogen donor count of 0, hydrogen acceptor count of 6, relatable bond count of 0,
complexity of 292, topological polar surface of 138 A^2, mass of 227.018 g/mol, heavy atom count of
16, covalently bonded unit count of 1, and formal charge of 0. Its structural shape changes. Its boiling
point (point at which it explodes) is 464º F (240 deg C) at 760 mmHg. It is also insoluble, but has a
few exceptions. At 18 deg C, it is soluble in the following solvents: chloroform, ether, and carbon
tetrachloride.

Conflicts Within A Group And How A Manager Can Bring Up...
Conflicts can happen in everyday life with people and in organizations. Conflicts need to be handled
so that the situation does not escalate further. Most people look at conflicts as a bad situation, but not
all conflicts are bad, some are good, especially when discussing an idea within a group. In an
organization there are times when a conflict may need to happen for an issue to be resolved, but when
this happens the people involved need to look at if this conflict is really necessary to resolve the issue.
How to address conflicts in a group and how a manager can bring up the conflict without making them
worse is what will be discussed next. At many jobs there are projects given that have to be completed
in groups and they re more than likely is going to be people within the group that do not necessarily
agree on how the project should be completed. This can cause a conflict to arise and to resolve this
conflict requires all members of the group to have a say in the resolution. To ensure sufficient
discussion of contentious issues in a work group, I would have one person be in charge of the group.
This person would make sure that everyone had a turn to give their input and I would make it known
to all the group members that what is said cannot be held against the person who says it. When
managers need to bring up unspoken conflicts into the open without making them worse, it may be
best to have a third party present that can ensure that the issue is addressed

The Role of Nature in My Life
Things We See Today The role of nature in my life has greatly changed in the last five years, as well
as in the change from adolescence to adulthood. I don t believe that nature has changed but my
perception of nature has and always is, from the rising sun over the cityscape of San Francisco as I
take the L Train uphill on Taraval Street, to watching the quarter sized, glistening diamond,
snowflakes fall outside my window as I try and stay awake to catch a glimpse of Santa before
morning. To me, Nature is not the woods or a long, sweating hike, nor is it Golden Gate Park in San
Francisco or any other city park for that matter. To me, Nature is catching that rhythm the world beats,

having obviously picked out where he lived. I did my best never to be home those years. It was a lot
easier after I started driving and drove my parents mad wondering why I never stayed for more than a
few hours (other than sleeping). I hated it, with all my heart. My dog was the only thing natural I
liked. I didn t go out in my woods or out on my friends property. The closet I came to nature then, was
the National Geographic program on PBS. Nature and I would not bond again until much later. The
last five years have been a battle. Living in a tent for six months (not by choice) brought me very close
with Nature. I would wake up on a Cliffside with nothing but a hundred foot, sheer rock face, drop
with the ocean and rising, blood orange sun in between. It had a bit of an edge to it though. I was
illegally staked out on someone else s property, leaving before they woke, returning after they slept
and I was all alone. After moving to Bolinas, Ca with my older, female cousin, I was abandoned after
two weeks for smoother sailing. I had gotten a job serving and bartending and developed a routine;

The Equal Pay Act Of 1963 ( Epa ) And Title Vii Of The...
An egalitarian is someone who believes that not only should women be equal to men, but everyone
should be equal to everyone and the only thing that separates us is our merits and the things that we
have worked to achieve in life. That is why I am and always will be an egalitarian.
When it comes to any kind of a pay gap, I refer you to Fortune.com article, Here s What it Takes to
Sue For Gender Pay Discrimination and Win, which stated Pay discrimination based on sex has long
been illegal. Both the Equal Pay Act of 1963 (EPA) and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964
prohibit paying someone less for the same work because of gender. The article later goes on to detail
how to go about the legal process and what evidence is required in order to win your case, and what
things to be wary of when pursuing legal action. So if you feel that you are being paid less than a
coworker based on race, sex, orientation, or anything else that would be defined as discrimination
under the law, I urge you to seek out legal counsel and bring your employer to justice for the crime
they are committing.
If you feel you were passed up for a promotion on the basis of nothing other than gender or sex than
you can seek out legal counsel as according to the United States Equal Employment Opportunity
Commission It is illegal for an employer to make decisions about job assignments and promotions
based on an employee s race, color, religion, sex (including gender identity, sexual

The Controversial Ending of King Lear by William...
The Controversial Ending of King Lear by William Shakespeare Few Shakespearean plays have
caused the controversy that is found with King Lear s ending scenes. Othello kills himself, Macbeth is
executed, and of course in hamlet, everyone dies. Lear, however, is different from other
Shakespearean classics. Is Lear mad or lucid? Is Cordelia really dead? Is Edmund s delay explainable?
What is the nature of the Lear world that occasioned all of this? How does Knight s thesis relate to the
ending? Critical commentary varies and appears exhaustive. Bradley speaks of evil, but thinks Lear
dies in a moment of supreme joy; Knight argues that however vicious and cruel the Lear world is, the
death of Cordelia represents the future ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Foakes thinks that Hamlet now is less suited for the twentieth century than Lear, insofar as Lear s
existential content is what matters, so now the question becomes why would Cordelia want to live in
Lear s world? The play is about protesting a world gone mad. The situation is further intensified by
the Tate emendation that playgoers witnessed for over a century. Arguing from the perspective of post
restoration and neo classical taste that literature must teach virtue, Tate dropped the Fool, gave
Cordelia and Edgar a love interest, thus sparing her life along with her father: Edgar: My dear
Cordelia! Lucky was the Minute Of our approach, the Gods have weighed our Sufferings, W are past

Management Practices And Functions Of Management
Management Practices
Management has played a crucial role in how organizations have operated for over a century. It has
been the foundation of organizations in the structuring of their companies and has determined their
level of success. Without management, organizations would struggle with defining a purpose for
themselves. They would lack in goals to achieve and overall improvement. Since the implementation
of management, theories of management have come and gone. New ideas have emerged and thoughts
have shifted as the world continues to grow and change. However, the concept of management and its
key elements have remained the same. These elements consist of what is known as the five functions

Essay about Compare and Contrast Religion in Two Works
Religion is sold to the masses daily. In 1925 it was sold to the masses in the form of printed material
by Bruce Barton. In 1960 it was sold to the masses by way of a film entitled Elmer Gantry. Bruce
Barton sold a different idea of Jesus than most people were familiar with. In the film, Elmer Gantry
sold religion with bravado and arrogance which was not the typical way of selling religion either. In
each work, religion is being sold but Elmer is a more exciting and relatable character than Bruce
Barton s Jesus. Elmer Gantry sold religion in a similar way to Barton s Jesus but did so in a more
relatable manner. In both works, each character sought out to sell religion. Although the major

Although, Jesus saved people because it was a duty imposed upon him by his father. Elmer Gantry
however, had a different reason for preaching the word of the lord. Elmer found it convenient to
preach about the lord when he knew he could get something in return. He had no ulterior motive than
to use the words in the Bible to his advantage to gain something for him. In the film, Elmer sees a
good thing in Sister Sharon Falconer s evangelical troupe and cons his way into her tent tabernacle,
her graces, and her heart (Weiler, 1960). Elmer used the Bible to get closer to and ultimately to win
over Sister Sharon. Elmer Gantry was an opportunistic character. He used religion when it could
benefit him. Not only was Gantry opportunistic about religion, but was opportunistic when it came to
sex and alcohol as well (Bluestone, 1961). Many people can relate to a character such as Elmer
Gantry. When the opportunity arises for something to go in his favor, he grabs the opportunity. Many
people may feel the same way today. If an opportunity arises to get something for yourself, you will.
Elmer is an ordinary person with ordinary impulses. He sees Sister Sharon as something he desires
and works his way into her inner circle to be closer to her. An ordinary man would do something
similar to be closer to a woman he finds attractive. Both characters had very different reasons for
selling religion, but both were extremely successful.

Haitian Revolution
The Haitian Revolution
The Origin
The origin of the Haitian Revolution can ironically be traced to the Revolution that started in their
Mother Country France in 1789. In that year, the French people rallied and motivated by the
watchwords of Liberty, fraternity and Equality decided to begin the process that would radically
change the political and social order of France.
This revolution appealed to the Grand Blancs of San Domingue as the colony was named before the
revolution. They decided that it was an opportune time to demand more political power from the
newly elected Constituent Assembly in France. The Constituent Assembly denied them their requests.
In an unprecedented move, they called elections in 1790 for a General Assembly and ... Show more

Why was this Revolution successful?
(i) Good leadership. Toussaint provided skilled military leadership. He was ably assisted by Jean
Jacques Dessalines and Henri Christophe.
(ii) The rebels had the advantage. They knew the area better than the invaders. They were familiar
with both the territory and climate.
(iii) France was preoccupied with her own revolution 1789 1815. She herself was going through
different stages. At one point her leaders agreed with and tried to reinstate Slavery. At another time,
her new leaders, the radicals who disagreed with Slavery sent decrees to abolish it. (1794)
(iv) The troops sent from France to reinforce the local militia lost a number of their men within a few
days. They died from tropical diseases such as yellow fever.
(v) The division and rivalry between the Grand Blancs and the Petit Blancs gave the blacks time to
gather and plan their strategies.
(vi) The whites, engrossed in their own struggle were taken by surprise. Some fled the country leaving
their property behind. Many of these became bases of operation and headquarters for the rebel groups.
(vii) The slaves, unlike the whites, were determined to fight to the end, even if it meant death. After
all, they had little to lose in a society where they were seen and treated just a little better than animals.
(viii) The slaves were united by the strong bond of religion. They believed that they were indeed

Reality Check on Year Round Schooling Many people, including President Barack Obama believe that
year round schooling is the best option for American students, because the year round system gives
students equal amount of time in school, while increasing the efficiency of a single school building
(Ave 1B). More than two million students in some three thousand U.S. schools attend year round
programs in 41 states (Lawson 48). This astonishing number seems large, but really is only 2% of

Also, without public support, year round will fail because the parent s reluctance to send their children

vacation. If a school decides to go year round, communication between the community and school
would have must be very clear as to when students are supposed to be in school (Wildman et al. 465).
The disadvantages of year round schooling are just as important as the advantages. Cost and benefits

teachers receive training in best practices, including compost making, proper sowing and cultivation.
Students who participate learn to appreciate the great importance and dignity of agricultural work.
Agriculture will help with fresh ingredients; young people often have a poor opinion of agricultural
work. Clearly, this could be the answer to teach students, how to be able to grow more food of better
nutritional quality. Agriculture should be an elective or even a requirement at schools.
Many students who has grow in farms specially, do not want to have agriculture as a courses, because
they aspire to break away from what they consider a financially and morally impoverishing vocation.
So, an option could be to have agriculture, as a club where student interested on learning more about
agriculture, which is the cultivation and breeding of animals, plants and fungi (fungus) for food, fiber,
biofuel, medicinal plants and other products used to sustain and enhance human life. So with this
information, do you believe agriculture can help schools?
First and foremost it would create fresh ingredients, because they could cook with fresh vegetables
like garlic, carrots, and corn. They could help with fruits like apples and oranges. They wouldn t have
to order the fruits and vegetables. They would be able to get it while saving money. They can get it

The Mission Station Of Spain
The main theme of the story in the mission is about a group of Jesuits who established a mission
station around the borderland of Argentina, Paraguay and Brazil around 1750. Meanwhile, they
converted the local Indians to Christianity. At the end, Cardinal Altamirano ordered Jesuits to leave the
mission. Without the protection of the church, the local Indians were killed or slaved by Portuguese.
The script of the movie was written from a real historic event in 1754 1756, the Guarani War, which
Guarani communities defend their homeland against Spanish Portuguese for almost three years. The
fuse of the war was ignited by the Treaty of Madrid in 1750, which was signed by the king of Spain
and Portugal to completely determine the border between Spain and Portugal in South America by the
area around Uruguay river. Around that time, the Jesuit mission stations and the local Indians were
growing rapidly both economically and regionally with their outstanding plantations, which was much
better than those in Portugal s own territory. As a consequence, the Portuguese wanted to take over
control the land and slave the Indians. They forced the Catholic church to dissemble their mission
station and did the massacre right after they leaved. The paradigm that director used was carefully
selected. The story of the movie was told from a vision of Cardinal Altamirano, who was writing a
letter to the pop for explaining what had happened. Within the story, the two main narratives were not

Django Unchained there is a mirror shot of Django when he kills the three wanted brothers. These

Persuasive Essay On The Mountain Goat
I have been in existence for many, many years. I predate the oldest man alive, for as long as any living
being can remember my ridged body has stood tall, for longer than even I can recall. I have many
children but none are better fit for my near vertical landscape than my favorite creature, the mountain
goat. He s stable strong and sturdy, built for the mountain, virtually a king when to my steep surface,
while the goat doesn t have sharp claws or strong jaws meant to defend themselves from becoming
prey, but they do have strategy. Strategy that is a must have for this species to survive and thrive,
strategy that without, the antagonist of this story would almost certainly devour our horned friend.
That being said we must not interfere, you as a human and I as a mountain, humans often bring
emotion into nature, believing predator and prey could get along or come to an understanding, the
childish ranting of a delusionist who took Disney films far too serious. The only understanding these
two have is that one will try to eat and the other survive, now let us watch through the eyes of the
hooved and clawed. My hoofs are sore, I ve been climbing all day as I do most days and I m
exhausted. I m not sure if I should stop here though, it s not very far up the mountain, a predator could

Strict Code Of Ethics In Real Estate Homeowners
The real estate system can be extremely confusing to anyone who doesn t have the appropriate skill
and expertise in the industry. That is why realtors are so important, whether you are thinking about
buying or selling a home. One obvious reason that real estate agents are so vital is because they have
the experience and training to handle any difficulty that could possibly come up. For instance, if
someone is trying to purchase a new home and the property is foreclosed, they may not know exactly
how to deal with the situation. In such a particular case, the impending homeowner would have to deal
with a financial institution instead of a real person. This can actually complicate matters. In the event
that there is nobody to help them through this procedure, they would in all likelihood miss out on the
home.

Mandatory Retirement Essay examples
Mandatory retirement is perhaps a necessary evil; as older employees are forced out of the work force,
it creates space for new, younger employees. Mandatory retirement is a form of age discrimination, it
forces a person to retire because they are a certain age; it does not take into account if that person
wants to retire. It also does not take into account the financial standing of the individual, or if they are
physically or mentally still capable of doing the job.
Although mandatory retirement is not largely popular, it still has an effect on many older workers and
how they plan for retirement. Mandatory retirement involves less than 1 percent of the work force and
so opens up only a small fraction of the total jobs , because ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

From 1970 to the year 2000, the world s over 60 population is projected to increase by more than 90
percent . This is an astonishing number, seeming how the total population was predicted to grow by
less than 75 percent . The most prominent feature of the looming shift in the composition of the
working age population is, of course, its increasing age . It is hard to say what will happen when
suddenly there will be an abundance of older people who are preparing to retire.
The increase in life expectancy is partially to blame for the increase in elderly citizens, as there are
now better medicines and medical procedures to cure ailments which could have easily killed a person
10 or 20 years ago. As Levine said, There are more elderly and a larger proportion of elderly in the
population now than ever before in the history of the world, and individuals live longer and have a
longer span of healthy, vigorous life than ever before . We have to prepare, not only to have more aged
people in the work force, but also to have adequate pensions and supplements to aid these people
when they do retire.
Elderly people are often stereotyped as forgetful, weak, or unable to take care of themselves; keeping
this in mind, how can you logically hire an elderly person to do a job that a young, more physically fit
employee could undoubtedly perform with less risk and effort. Stereotypes such as these are playing a
huge role in the controversy over mandatory retirement. Morgan

Big Two Hearted River, Part I, By Ernest Hemingway
Success comes only to those who stand firm throughout the trials and tribulations the world has to
offer, as many people come to realize through the gaining of their personal life experience. In Big Two

and metaphors in order to impart and emphasize the importance of one s determination to endure the
challenges of existence in relation to their overall prosperity. Readers are led to reflect on how
persevering through the negative experiences in one s life can ultimately lead to positive experiences,

It is unclear whether or not they will stay that way permanently, but Nick has hope that they will
overcome their unfortunate situation; when he wonders how long they will be stained, Nick is
insinuating that there will eventually come a day, be it in weeks or years, that the grasshoppers will
return to their natural state. Hemingway uses this metaphor to parallel our perception of Nick himself.
The trauma Nick has endured throughout his life has impacted him as well as his identity significantly,
but there is hope and the promise of a better future if he is willing to withstand the burden in the
meantime. This sentiment is echoed by Nick when he lets go of the grasshopper, instructing it to fly
away somewhere (212). The message conveyed here is that life goes on; though the grasshoppers are
sullied by their experiences, as they might be for a while, there is a way for them to be free and thus,
there must be a way for Nick to be free as well. The rewards that follow in the wake of a negative or
traumatic event are earned by the mere fact that an individual was not willing to be swayed from their
path or to give up simply on the basis that it was difficult. Nick himself sums it up rather nicely when
he states that he s ...got a right to eat this kind of stuff, if [he s] willing to carry it (215) referring to, of

Advantages And Disadvantages Of DC-AC Transverter

Now a days, the switching power supply market is flourishing quickly. The trend is for DC AC
converters with low cost, higher efficiency, power saving that enable maximum features. In this
project, a single stage three switch buck boost inverter is designed, where stepping up, stepping down
and inversion operation will takes place in single stage. This proposed inverter will overcome all the
drawbacks of traditional one. Coupled inductor plays a very important role in energy transfer and
eliminates the use of line frequency transformer. As the inverter having only three switches, the

bodies throughout U.S. history. An early example of the criminalization of brown bodies can be seen
in Los Angeles when the Spanish Crown came and deemed Native Americans as lawless and
ungovernable. Then, later in time, we see the criminalization of black bodies in the South during the
Reconstruction Era. Laws and ideology that are motivated by colonialism and settler colonialism, have
helped put more black and brown bodies in prison and exploit them for labor through convict lease

Allan Poe once said that one should, Believe only half of what you see and nothing that you hear. and
this can answer the question set above. This is because realistically, society should only be believing

on the supply side: an increase in the sophistication and availability of veterinary care. Technology
transfer from the human side of the healthcare industry had gained momentum in the 1990s. This led
to better equipment, a broader range of treatments and procedures, and more veterinary specialists to

Compare And Contrast The Passionate Shepherd To His Love
The Idealist and the Realist are two rather different types of people. One sees the world in an
optimistic light, where the flowers seemingly always bloom and summer is ever lasting, while the
other sees the world as a skeptic and sees that all happiness at some point comes to an end. Within the
poems The Passionate Shepherd to his love and The Nymph s Reply to the Shepherd we see these two

rejects it. We see how the Shepherd views the world and the blossoming of love and we see the

The Great Recession Of 2008-9
The Great Recession of 2008 9 was the deepest and longest capitalist economic slump since the Great
Depression of 1929 32. The recent financial crisis is known as the Great Recession of 2008 9. Its
downturn was sparked by the collapse of the US housing market. In 2006, the prices of home began to
rise and the banks began to encourage potential homebuyers to take out larger loans. There were lower
interest rates at the time, and this seemed like a good idea for most individuals who were searching for
a new home. Then, in mid 2007, the interest rates began to rise. The values of the homes decreased
and the amount of money a house was worth declined significantly. Many homeowners were stuck
with large loans, increasingly high interest rates, and a decreased price of their home. Many
homeowners went into foreclosure or were evicted. This eventually led to large financial institutions

This goes to show that the media can manipulate us from our own couches. Another recognizable name commonly releases information that they want us to read, which is TIME Magazine. If you take a look at the cover of TIME Magazine in the US and those in other countries you will see that our country tends to always have a different cover story, then everyone else. TIME is one of the biggest news magazines there is and they can reach and influence a lot of people in the United States. It seems as if some of the covers are chosen for political reasons, but in the end it comes down to market research and wanting to increase their sales. Now that could be a completely wrong assumption, but that is what the evidence leads to as well as censorship. With any great advancement in civilization, there are always those souls who seek to capitalize on the misfortune of others by finding some way to exploit a weakness in the newest technology available; the computer industry is no exception. Due to the exceptionally slow speeds of mainframe computers at that time, (personal computers were not invented yet), software programmers came up with hacks to improve the processing time of their programs. These hackers became the core of the MIT Artificial Intelligence Lab (AI Lab). Their talents pushed a program beyond its intended capabilities, at the same time expanding their personal programming talents and the professional reputation of the AI Lab. These individuals believed the educational bureaucracy at MIT should not come into direct conflict with being able to accomplish any productive task. • 8. Social Aspects Of Social Norm A social norm that strikes my fascination is in the initial actions, responses, and facial expressions individuals convey when greeting other people, whether a person is acknowledging a friend, co worker, family member, or a stranger, one would think that each person would greet everyone in somewhat the same manner due to the nature of one s personality and regardless of their relationship to that individual. I had the assumption that when people have a very bubbly and outgoing personality they would greet everyone in the same vivacious way. Likewise, when individuals are more reserved and less likely to take the initiative in introducing themselves to a stranger, I figured they would be more shy and quiet in their responses. So what I wanted to do was count to three out loud before saying, Hello back to my friends, co workers, family members, and strangers greetings and see how they would react to this social norm violation. Therefore, the social norm I chose to break was failing to respond directly to a person s greeting in the normal response rate and additionally counting out loud to three before replying. To get a fairly accurate conclusion of my findings, I responded to sixteen greetings in this peculiar way. I gathered the reactions from four friends, four co workers, four family members (although three were over the phone), and four random strangers who came up to talk to me. • 10. Conflicts Within A Group And How A Manager Can Bring Up... Conflicts can happen in everyday life with people and in organizations. Conflicts need to be handled so that the situation does not escalate further. Most people look at conflicts as a bad situation, but not all conflicts are bad, some are good, especially when discussing an idea within a group. In an organization there are times when a conflict may need to happen for an issue to be resolved, but when this happens the people involved need to look at if this conflict is really necessary to resolve the issue. How to address conflicts in a group and how a manager can bring up the conflict without making them worse is what will be discussed next. At many jobs there are projects given that have to be completed in groups and they re more than likely is going to be people within the group that do not necessarily agree on how the project should be completed. This can cause a conflict to arise and to resolve this conflict requires all members of the group to have a say in the resolution. To ensure sufficient discussion of contentious issues in a work group, I would have one person be in charge of the group. This person would make sure that everyone had a turn to give their input and I would make it known to all the group members that what is said cannot be held against the person who says it. When managers need to bring up unspoken conflicts into the open without making them worse, it may be best to have a third party present that can ensure that the issue is addressed ... That is why I am and always will be an egalitarian. When it comes to any kind of a pay gap, I refer you to Fortune.com article, Here s What it Takes to Sue For Gender Pay Discrimination and Win, which stated Pay discrimination based on sex has long been illegal. So if you feel that you are being paid less than a coworker based on race, sex, orientation, or anything else that would be defined as discrimination under the law, I urge you to seek out legal counsel and bring your employer to justice for the crime they are committing. Is Edmund s delay explainable? What is the nature of the Lear world that occasioned all of this? How does Knight s thesis relate to the ending? Critical commentary varies and appears exhaustive. Arguing from the perspective of post restoration and neo classical taste that literature must teach virtue, Tate dropped the Fool, gave Cordelia and Edgar a love interest, thus sparing her life along with her father: Edgar: My dear Cordelia! Meanwhile, they converted the local Indians to Christianity. At the end, Cardinal Altamirano ordered Jesuits to leave the mission. Without the protection of the church, the local Indians were killed or slaved by Portuguese. The script of the movie was written from a real historic event in 1754 1756, the Guarani War, which Guarani communities defend their homeland against Spanish Portuguese for almost three years. I predate the oldest man alive, for as long as any living being can remember my ridged body has stood tall, for longer than even I can recall. I have many children but none are better fit for my near vertical landscape than my favorite creature, the mountain goat. He s stable strong and sturdy, built for the mountain, virtually a king when to my steep surface, while the goat doesn t have sharp claws or strong jaws meant to defend themselves from becoming prey, but they do have strategy. Strategy that is a must have for this species to survive and thrive, strategy that without, the antagonist of this story would almost certainly devour our horned friend. That being said we must not interfere, you as a human and I as a mountain, humans often bring emotion into nature, believing predator and prey could get along or come to an understanding, the childish ranting of a delusionist who took Disney films far too serious. The only understanding these two have is that one will try to eat and the other survive, now let us watch through the eyes of the hooved and clawed. My hoofs are sore, I ve been climbing all day as I do most days and I m exhausted. I m not sure if I should stop here though, it s not very far up the mountain, a predator could be around waiting for the moment I let my guard down but can I keep going? • 25. Strict Code Of Ethics In Real Estate Homeowners The real estate system can be extremely confusing to anyone who doesn t have the appropriate skill and expertise in the industry. That is why realtors are so important, whether you are thinking about buying or selling a home. One obvious reason that real estate agents are so vital is because they have the experience and training to handle any difficulty that could possibly come up. For instance, if someone is trying to purchase a new home and the property is foreclosed, they may not know exactly how to deal with the situation. In such a particular case, the impending homeowner would have to deal with a financial institution instead of a real person. This can actually complicate matters. In the event that there is nobody to help them through this procedure, they would in all likelihood miss out on the home. • 26. Mandatory Retirement Essay examples Mandatory retirement is perhaps a necessary evil; as older employees are forced out of the work force, it creates space for new, younger employees. Mandatory retirement is a form of age discrimination, it forces a person to retire because they are a certain age; it does not take into account if that person wants to retire. It also does not take into account the financial standing of the individual, or if they are physically or mentally still capable of doing the job. Although mandatory retirement is not largely popular, it still has an effect on many older workers and how they plan for retirement. Mandatory retirement involves less than 1 percent of the work force and so opens up only a small fraction of the total jobs , because ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... From 1970 to the year 2000, the world s over 60 population is projected to increase by more than 90 percent . This is an astonishing number, seeming how the total population was predicted to grow by less than 75 percent . The most prominent feature of the looming shift in the composition of the working age population is, of course, its increasing age . It is hard to say what will happen when suddenly there will be an abundance of older people who are preparing to retire. The increase in life expectancy is partially to blame for the increase in elderly citizens, as there are now better medicines and medical procedures to cure ailments which could have easily killed a person 10 or 20 years ago. As Levine said, There are more elderly and a larger proportion of elderly in the population now than ever before in the history of the world, and individuals live longer and have a longer span of healthy, vigorous life than ever before . We have to prepare, not only to have more aged people in the work force, but also to have adequate pensions and supplements to aid these people when they do retire. Elderly people are often stereotyped as forgetful, weak, or unable to take care of themselves; keeping this in mind, how can you logically hire an elderly person to do a job that a young, more physically fit employee could undoubtedly perform with less risk and effort. Stereotypes such as these are playing a huge role in the controversy over mandatory retirement. Morgan ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Big Two Hearted River, Part I, By Ernest Hemingway Success comes only to those who stand firm throughout the trials and tribulations the world has to offer, as many people come to realize through the gaining of their personal life experience. Hemingway uses this metaphor to parallel our perception of Nick himself. The trauma Nick has endured throughout his life has impacted him as well as his identity significantly, but there is hope and the promise of a better future if he is willing to withstand the burden in the meantime. This sentiment is echoed by Nick when he lets go of the grasshopper, instructing it to fly away somewhere (212). The message conveyed here is that life goes on; though the grasshoppers are sullied by their experiences, as they might be for a while, there is a way for them to be free and thus, there must be a way for Nick to be free as well. The rewards that follow in the wake of a negative or traumatic event are earned by the mere fact that an individual was not willing to be swayed from their path or to give up simply on the basis that it was difficult. The recent financial crisis is known as the Great Recession of 2008 9. Its downturn was sparked by the collapse of the US housing market. In 2006, the prices of home began to rise and the banks began to encourage potential homebuyers to take out larger loans. There were lower interest rates at the time, and this seemed like a good idea for most individuals who were searching for a new home. Then, in mid 2007, the interest rates began to rise. The values of the homes decreased and the amount of money a house was worth declined significantly. Many homeowners were stuck with large loans, increasingly high interest rates, and a decreased price of their home. Many homeowners went into foreclosure or were evicted. This eventually led to large financial institutions and banks to become bankrupt, which lead to an overall fall in the US economy. Stocks dropped, consumer spending declined significantly, and companies began to go out of business (Athanasiu, 43). This financial crisis has impacted the economy tremendously during that period. Businesses have been drastically impacted, as have the lives of workers in the United States. Many articles have been published about different aspects of the recession.
