2. Location One
We will be using two locations, the first is the drama studio at
the Sixth Form Centre. We have selected this location as, after
consulting with our focus group, we believe that this is
appropriate for our idea. At this location, we will be filming the
scene with the ‘trapped’ girl. The props and the design of the
room will allow us to create a feeling of tension and make the
audience wonder where she is as it will be difficult to see the
whole room. This makes them wonder what she is doing there.
The dynamics of the room are as such that we can film so you
cannot see everything.
We are able to make it so that it is not clear what the room is to
the audience and therefore it is appropriate for our film.
3. Location Two
The second location we have chosen is a dining room. This will
be at group member, Brittany Grahams house. We have chosen
this location for the eating scene. After consulting with our focus
group, we have decided this will be the best location as it will
contrast well with the outside scene and shows a normal house
environment which adds realism to the movie. This also works
towards the uses and gratifications theory – needs model as it is
playing on the audiences emotions by being realistic, and
something normal to them.
This location is ideal for us, as the availability is good. This
means that we can be more flexible in our filming.
