2. We think that the abandoned warehouse would be a good location for our thriller
because it suits the plot of our film opening.
This would be good because we all live reasonably close to it, therefore it’s easily
accessible. It’s also a good location because it gives the viewer tat chill that we need
for our film, that no other location can provide. We thought about using an
abounded house instead of the warehouse although we came to the conclusion that it
is used too often.
As good as this is a good location, it has its disadvantages. The warehouse doesn't
belong to us because it is disowned, therefore it may not be very safe in there, as
there may be other people inside. It could also be dangerous due to the building, it
may be unstable and there is large amounts of glass and other threatening objects.

3. We only plan to use a bar or a club for the opening 10 to 20 seconds for our
thriller opening sequence. We need this because it will suit the theme of a
party/club vibe.
This is good because there are plenty of clubs and even more bars around the
Brentwood area which is where we all live, therefore we have a large choice of
placement for where we can film this and it will be easily accessible. Clubs and bars
are also busy places and we need it to be busy as it gives the viewer the impression
that it’s a vulnerable place for large amounts of people.
A disadvantage of this is that we will need to get permission to use these locations
by the owners, because they may not want students filming in their place of work.

4. A forest is a good location due to the isolation and cold chill that it provides. It
creates a tension for the viewer, as it seems as if the character is lost.
We think that using a forest would be a suitable location for our movie because it’s
a quiet, almost lifeless location. It’s obviously a wide open space which means we
will have all the room we want to film, and we also won’t need any permission at all
to film there, unless it’s a private forest.
Forests are very commonly used locations throughout the thriller opening sequences
made in the past, therefore this may not be the best location as it doesn’t show much
diversity. Forests may also be dangerous location due to our surroundings with
broken branches on the floor and other people visiting the location.

5. We agreed that a hospital is a good place to film the opening of a thriller movie.
A hospital is a very good location for a thriller film because they connote with
sickness and death, which are some main influences for this type of movie. Hospitals
are also very large, and in peoples minds rather scary and threatening locations.
They’re great places to film because we can adjust it to make it look how we want as
well.
Disadvantages about using a hospital is that we’ll have to get permission if we want
to use a place like this to film, it’s also unlikely that we would be allowed top as well
because they’re busy all the time. Another problem is that there are no near by
hospitals so it will be a struggle to get there for some of us.
