Why?
I will take my front over photo on the 6th December because this is
when my topics within my magazine will be decided. I will take the
photo at school because following XXL I will crop the photo so it is
only the artist with no background. I will do this mid-day when the
sun is at its brightest so my photo will be bright and clear.
This is the same for my
front cover.

Person/People
Why?
My shot angle will be eye level, this is so my model can directly look
in the camera so they will have eye contact with the reader. My shot
type will be a long shot so I can cature the outfit from head to toe,
however I will crop out the backbround. I will be taking my photo
with my iPhone camera so I will not require any equipment like a
tripod. I will also not require any artificial lighting because I will be
taking the photo mid day when the sun light is at its strongest. I will
be using Imani Ayimba-Golding as my model and she will be
wearing superstar trainers, jeans, crop top and a gold chain for the
front cover photo. This is stereotypically what a female hip hop
artist would wear. Imani will have dramatic eye liner to highlight
she is made up like a model. I have selected Imani because he afro
symbioses the stereotypical reader. My pictures for my other pages
I will require similar pictures. Imani will be wearing different
outfits but will still being wearing my basic requirements of jeans,
trainers and a crop top.
For my double page
spread Imani will be
wearing a bomber
jacket, as they are a
must have item this
season and she could
be seen as an fashion
inspiration. My shot
angle will be eye level
so I can capture Imani
silhouette and outline,
as she will be standing
side on for some of my
photos.
For my contents page
my photo will be
taken straight on to
capture her full outfit.
For my contents page
Imanis outfit will be
more dressy as she
will be wearing heels.
This is because Imani
is famous and is seen
to be living a lavish
life style with lots of
parties.
Permission Needed
Contact needed to be made
Evidence of this?
I will need to require permission from Imani herself and her
parents, as a parent or guardian must give consent on their behalf
due to Imanis being under 18. A model release is a confirmation of
consent given to a photographer by the person in the photograph

that the image may be used for various purposes. Members of the
public do not need a permit to shoot in public places however due
to I am shooting within school grounds I have to ask permission
from the head teach of St Andrews school.

Potential Hazards/Risks To prevent hazards I will insure that my model is standing in a safe
environment. By this I mean that Imani is standing on stable ground
with nothing in her way, such as lampposts, rocks, and signs that
she could potentially knock into. If I was using equipment I would
need to securely place it on a level floor so it wouldn’t fall over. This
photoshoot is very low risk.

Locations specific
Why?
I have selected my school because it doesn’t require me to organise
any transport for myself the photographer or the model. A benefit
of using the school is I know it very well, this means I know
locations which I would like to use, for the example the field
because I will have no distractions, plenty of space and no buildings
blocking the sun light
