EVALUATION
The Radio Group
DECEMBER 1
 In December we drafted what we wanted to include in our interviews as well as
who we wanted to do our radio shows with. We wanted to do interviews with the
cast as we feel the audience that would listen to the shows would be interested in
the cast over the crew. These had to be people who were both confident in
speaking and knew a lot about the show in general and their own role within the
show.
 We also created the jingle during this month, the jingle ended up being one of the
songs in the show, and this meant that the audience would recognise this music
with the show. This was my role in the group and it had to be a song that was both
up beat and recognisable. We also had Craig and Dylan talking over the jingle to
introduce the audience to the host of the radio show.
DECEMBER 2
 During this month we also made one practice radio show that was with
Craig and Dylan, this was purely to rehearse the plan for the radio show and
also give us a rough idea of the types of questions we wanted to include in
the show. We planned that we wanted to record all three of the radio shows
in January.
JANUARY
 In January, we began doing some of the radio interviews, the first one we did was
with the DSM, this was a good idea as she gave us some information about what
was happening behind the scenes and gave the whole interview process a very
nice introduction.
JANUARY 2
 We also did another interview with one of the principals of the production, she
gave information about her role of the performance and because she had been in
the productions before she was able to inform us of which production she has
found most enjoyable. She gave us a rough idea of how the production was going
and also what they were working on at that point of the production.
 Lots of people found this interview very informative and found it interesting
hearing from one of the principals on how they felt the show was going and what
they were enjoying most.
FEBRUARY
 In February we did our last interview and were also able to evaluate how we feel
the whole process has gone.We were able to analyse where we think things have
been going well also where we think there is room for improvement.
 Our campaign was designed around giving students a better understanding of
how the production is going through members of the cast and crew. The
interviews were able to give students more information of what the show is about
and where they can purchase tickets
FEBRUARY-SHOWWEEK
 During show week it was a chance to see whether the radio performances had
increased ticket sales. We feel that our radio shows were able to intrigue students
and we helped them make the decision to inform their parents of the production
and purchase tickets.
STRENGTHS
 The strengths of our radio interviews is that I feel they were very informative and
gave the audience a good idea of what happens during the performance and what
has been going on behind the scenes.
 I feel that we allocated a good set of people to take part in the interviews who
were able to give the audience an insight into their role within the show as well as
what they have been getting up to.
 Our jingle was also fun and upbeat which therefore made the start of the radio
interviews recognisable. This was also a song from the performance whch meant
that the audience members were able to connect with theshow before attending
the performance.
WEAKNESSES
 I feel that the interviews could have been a bit longer as I felt that they could have
been more informative to help the audience and persuade them to buy tickets.
 I also feel we should have included more audience participation to make the
audience feel more connected to the interviews and allow them to ask any
questions about the show and the performance.
MY ROLE
 My role within my group was to produce a catchy jingle that would be played at
the start of the interviews, I used a song that features in the production as the
jingle. This was both catchy and meant that audience members can relate the
interviews to the show itself. I feel that the jingle was effective in attracting an
audience.
 I also helped with the interviews itself, by setting up equipment and ensuring that
the interviews ran as smoothly as they possibly could. I feel that I helped in
making the interview process as efficient as possible.
OTHER GROUPS
PROGRAMME GROUP
 The programme group had researched previous programmes that the school had
done and made notes on what is most appealing to potential audience members.
 The programme was also hand painted by one of the members of the group and
given to the producer to decide which was the best.
 With help from a member of another group cast and crew photos were also taken
and were edited to make them fit with the shows theme.
ONLINE GROUP
 The online group created an Instagram page and posted regular updates of how
the rehearsals are going and how the cast and crew are getting on.There aim was
to build excitement for potential audience members to give them information
about the show before they attend.
 They also made a website that audience members and parents could look at to
find out more about the production and the goings on behind the scenes.
 They also helped out the video team by posting their trailer toYouTube, it was
their responsibility to ensure that the video looked appealing to audience
members.
TRAILER GROUP
 The trailer group had to create a trailer that would advertise for the production to
create a wider target audience.Their trailer took many hours to script and
brainstorm and was filmed at “Nuffield Theatre” which is a big theatre nearby
where the trailer group used the dressing rooms and stage to advertise the
performance.
 The trailer was released with many people travelling to watch the show because
of it.
SURVEY ANALYSIS
SURVEY ANALYSIS
This survey question shows that many of the people that heard the interviews have enjoyed them and feel that we
publicized the show with success. This shows that we were able to incorporate information about the show into our
adverts. It was important that our interviews were informative and from this question we can infer that we were successful
in doing so.
SURVEY ANALYSIS
This questions tells us that we made people more aware of the radio marketing within the school from doing these radio
adverts. This shows that we have been able to expand our target audience from doing these adverts.
SURVEY ANALYSIS
This question I feel has the most positive feedback as it shows that our radio adverts interested people and allowed them
to find out more about the show. This is extremely positive as it may have allowed them to gain the information they
need to purchase tickets.
SURVEY ANALYSIS
Many of the people had also looked on sound cloud for the interviews and were aware that we had posted them. This
means that they were impressed by the interviews and had listened to them in their own time. This question also allows
people that may not have known that the adverts were on sound cloud to find this information out.
SURVEY ANALYSIS
This question shows that the majority of the listeners agreed that we had benefitted the ticket sales although some people
said maybe to the question, suggesting that we could have made the interviews more informative to gain more of the
listeners to believe that we had been successful.
SURVEY ANALYSIS
This question shows that the radio interviews had increased the excitement for “Anything Goes”, this is something we had
set out to do in the first place. This will increase the ticket sales as more people will be interested in what happens during
the show.
SURVEY ANALYSIS
This is he most satisfying result as it shows that everyone who answered this question thought that the radio department
was a success. This is really good to see as it shows the audience believed that we have done a good job.
