What have you learned from
your audience feedback?

Documentary Completed Feedback
Our opening highlights high profile stabbings
in Birmingham trying to shock the audience
whilst attracting their attention and keeping
them interested in the documentary, which
this person thought we managed to do.
The person felt that this voiceover for the
documentary was relatively suitable whilst
there was little room for improvement.

This is the ideal answer of the effect we
intended to give off. We wanted this
documentary to be emotional and shock
people leading to people realizing what is
actually happening in our city.

They felt this was most interesting as he
gave reasons to why youths might carry
knives and is knowledgeable on the topic.

After our channel research we believed
Channel 4 was the best programme to use
and it is good for our target audience to
recognize this.

Whilst making this we felt our emotional
interview with Mohammed would be the
strongest point but as the sound quality
let us down. The reconstruction seemed
one of our stronger conventions and they
agree.

The music we used in the documentary
was interesting yet build upon tension and
it is good to realize that the audience feels
it is relevant to.

They agreed that this is our target
audience, which is positive as people of
the teenager bracket will more likely find it
interesting to watch..

This constructive criticism is what we
believed could have been better but due to
interviews being the base and filming only
being allocated in certain areas and times we
found it difficult to get relevant footage.
Double Page Spread Completed Feedback
This is a very good answer as we learn that
the target audience did feel the
documentary was positive.
This is positive and from this we learn it
has completed the purpose of the
documentary as the main reason was to
make you want to watch the
documentary.

We did try to fill the blank space but after
many trials we felt it looked overcrowded
and wanted to space things out more.

The image is the stand out feature on the
double page spread taking up 2/3 of the
page, as it is a screenshot of our
reconstruction it interests audience as to
what it is about and from the feedback we
learned that It did catch their attention.
Radio Trail Completed Feedback
Given an 8 for the radio trail we learn
things could be improved but it is
acceptable.

This is the purpose of our radio trail to
encourage people to watch the
documentary as the answer on the
questionnaire feels it is interesting and
makes them want to watch we feel the
radio trail ahs completed its purpose.

The only issue with the music the person
felt was it was too loud as it may have
clashed with voices making it hard to hear
what the voices are saying.

The mellow music fits in with the
documentary as it is sad yet inspiring
trying to get the message across about
knife crime and the person who
completed this agreed.

the interviews could have been better such as
been with the Police. The audience particularly
enjoyed the reconstruction which shows how
this involves them and can help them relate to
situations they may have been involved in or
know of.

What we learned from the feedback of
our Double Page Spread?
• We learnt through this many people thought it
was aesthetically pleasing due to the large
image spread across the double page. The
colour scheme worked well but some people
did suggest other images or a bit sharper. This
would help it look more professional. The
mysterious look and nothing about knife crime
being give away in image or title made
consumers want to read on in the underline
below title.
