The radio team aims to produce radio interviews promoting the school show to students to encourage ticket sales. Interviews will feature cast and crew giving insights into their roles and rehearsals. The target audience is students who will inform their parents. Comedy will be used to make the interviews memorable so students tell parents. The school radio is used as it directly reaches the target student audience, unlike external radio. Interviews will air weekly at consistent times with an identifiable jingle from the show. The documenter's role was producing the jingle and setting up equipment for efficient interviews during school hours. Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.
2. WHAT IS OUR AIM
As a member of the radio team our aim is to bring out radio interviews that
some of the school will listen to over the school radio that will persuade
them to purchase tickets and attend shows. The interviews will include
members of both the cast and backstage crew and will give an insight into
their role in the school show and inform listeners of the parts of the
production that they are enjoying as well as how they feel rehearsals are
going.
3. TARGET AUDIENCE?
Our target audience will be students attending the school, who may or may not
be in the school show.This is because they are the people that will inform our
parents.
We will appeal to them by using comedy and inform them of the humour of the
show.We are relying on them informing their parents about the show so it is
important that we make the radio shows memorable.
4. WHY AREWE USINGTHE SCHOOL RADIO ?
We will be using the school radio as our marketing platform because it
provides us with immediate access to our target audience who will inform
their parents of the show and will try and persuade them to buy tickets.
Using an alternative radio broadcaster would not make us able to access are
target audience directly and would mean we would be reaching people in a
much wider area that may not want to buy tickets.
5. WHAT DO WE PLANTO DO ONTHE RADIO
SHOWS?
The radio shows will be played every week around the same time but we
will try and fit them in to the radio schedule that already exists. We will try
and make a similar pattern of when the shows are played so that the
students can maybe look forward to this and make sure theyare there
listening to it.
Our radio interviews will have a recognisable jingle being one of the songs
from the show, this is so that students will be able to listen out for when
one of the interviews will be broadcasted.
6. MY ROLE
In my group I took on the role of jingle producer, I used a song from the
production as the jingle music, this was a song from the performance and helped
the listeners relate the interviews to the show itself.
I also set up the equipment for lots of the interviews, these had to be done
efficiently as the interviews were done in school hours meaning we had a very
narrow window where everyone was free.

9. This is the first team meeting that we recorded, this was done to gnenerate
initial ideas for the interviews.
10. This was the second team meeting where we discovered that we would publish
our interviews on the school radio to save money and reach our target audience.
11. This was the third team meeting and was when the jingle was finally
completed.We had also done the first interview which stood us in good
stead for the rest of the interviews.
12. We had finally completed all of the interviews at this point ready for show
week and we had begun putting them on the school radio station.
13. We received our survey results during this meeting and they were extremely
positive, which means that we were successful in promoting the purchase of
tickets.
