LNG creates new opportunities for industrial actors and consumers by providing a transport solution for natural gas through liquefaction. LNG can be transported via truck, boat, or train in isolated tanks and distributed flexibly to areas without pipelines. It can also be stored in special isolated tanks. Using natural gas results in significantly lower emissions than oil or coal and allows natural gas to serve as a peak load supplement for biogas. Switching to LNG/natural gas offers customers reduced emissions, complementary use with biogas, convenient energy delivery, and potentially competitive pricing based on volume and infrastructure investments.
