This document summarizes the disinfectant properties of Lifejacket, a broad spectrum powder disinfectant. It reports that Lifejacket is highly effective against bacteria (including Salmonella and Brucella), viruses (including FMD, hog cholera, and avian influenza), fungi, and bacterial spores. Testing showed it to be effective at low dilutions of 1:150 to 1:2,700 depending on the pathogen and contamination level. The active ingredients, which work synergistically, include potassium monopersulphate, sodium dichloroisocyanurate, and sulfamic acid.
