• Stem changing verbs take a normal ending but have a
change in the stem as well.
• The stem of the verb is everything other than the
ending. (Pensar = Pens, Querer = Quer, etc.)
• Stems have a change in all forms except the nosotros
and vosotros. Circling the forms that have a change
makes the verb appear as a boot.
• Present tense stem changing verbs have the following
changes; E-IE, E-I, O-UE, and U-UE.
