A 65-year-old female presented with a purpuric rash on her extremities and trunk. She had been taking dexibuprofen for 2 months to treat polyarthrosis. The rash progressed and spread over her body, with some lesions becoming blistered or ulcerated. Blood tests showed increased acute phase reactants. Skin biopsy found small vessels surrounded by neutrophils and nuclear debris, consistent with leukocytoclastic vasculitis. Treatment with prednisone improved the vasculitis lesions. The case report associates the development of cutaneous leukocytoclastic vasculitis with the patient's use of dexibuprofen.
