This lesson plan aims to teach first year high school students about indirect objects in English sentences. The teacher will distribute sentence strips with and without indirect objects for students to compare and identify the subject, verb, direct object, and indirect object. Through discussion, students will learn to differentiate direct from indirect objects. An evaluation exercise and charting activity reinforce the concepts. For homework, students complete sentences by adding an indirect object and direct object.
