Topic: Coping with COVID-19 anxiety
General Objectives: At the end of the session the learners will be able know how to cope
with anxiety, related to COVID-19 pandemic
Specific Learning Objectives: At the end of the session, the learners should be able to
1. List the anxiety symptoms
2. Differentiate normal and abnormal anxiety
3. Understand biological ways to deal anxiety
4. Explain psychological ways to deal anxiety
5. Demonstrate Deep breathing exercise
6. Describe spiritual ways to deal anxiety
Induction: Mrs. Z is a housemaid. Her husband lost his job in the textile shop as it
closed down. After which she became more irritable and apprehensive and unable to
concentrate on routine work and not going to job. Most of the time restless and agitated.
Feels very worried after her husband's job loss. She feels hopeless and having physical
symptoms such as increased heart rate, stomach upset, fatigue, or other uncomfortable
sensations.
