
 Teaching approach: My lesson plan is based on the PPP method and the
natural approach.

 Integration of skills: What skills will be integrated and
how?Communicative and collaborative skills will be integrated through
interaction. Students will develop listening and speaking skills by
listening and singing songs, and by listening to their teacher and
repeating.
 Materials and resources: I will use a computer in which I will reproduce
the video. I’ll also use photocopies, color pencils, crayons and a ball that I
will use in the presentation activity.

 Pedagogical use of ICT in class or at home: I will use a video to support
the teaching points. The use of videos and songs can be motivating for
very young learners. The video will also be used at home as homework so
kids can keep learning with their family.

 Seating arrangement: When I get into the classroom children will be on
their seats and then I will ask them by gestures to sit on the floor in a
semi circle and I will sit in front of them. Then they will come back to
their seats to do the activity. To finish they will stand in front of the
computer to sing and dance with the video

 Assessment: what will be assessed and how: I’ll monitor all my students
through the lesson and I’ll check whether if they understand what I say or
not. I’ll try to make them repeat the different patterns and encourage
them to use the chunks meaningfully. I’ll use lots of gestures and I’ll also
encourage them to use gestures too to check if they understand mine.
Warm up (5 minutes)
Purpose: To begin the lesson and create a comfortable atmosphere; to
introduce the students to the topic.
I will enter the classroom, the students will be in their seats, and I’ll greet them
“Hello everybody!” I’ll encourage my students answer “Hello!” and then I will
teach them a short song that we will use as welcome song: “We will sing a song
to say hello kids, and it goes like this, listen(I’ll touch my ears): Now it’s time to
say hello, say hello, say hello, now it’s time to say hello, hello everyone!” They will
listen and then I’ll say encourage them so sing with me “Ok kids, now let’s sing
together”
After we finish the song I will be standing in front of them and l’ll ask them
“How are you today? Are you fine, so- so or bad?” And while I ask this I will make
gestures: fine (I’ll pint my thumb up), so-so (I’ll do the ‘so so’ mime with my
hand. I don’t know how to call it, haha) and bad (I’ll point my thumb down)
Students will probably make the mimics so I will repeat the questions and the
possible answers as much as needed so they can understand and repeat the
mimics with the answer.
Transition: “Good job kids! Now I want you to come here and make a semicircle.
Let’s take your cushions” I’ll make gestures and take some students’ hand to lead
them in front on the board and sit on the floor in a semicircle. They’ve got
cushions to sit on the floor so they will go to take their cushions and sit. While
the settle down, I’ll take the ball to do the following activity.
Presentation (10 minutes)
Purpose: To Expose the students to the language; to enhance students’
communicative skills and to develop or improve comprehensive skills.
At this stage students will be sit on the floor and I’ll sit in front of them with the
ball in my hands. “Ok, let’s play this game. I’ll introduce myself. Hello! My Name is
Miss Mirari. (I’ll pass the ball to one of the kids) What’s your name?” and I’ll
encourage the kids to answer “My name is (Isabella)” and if the kid doesn’t
understand the question I’ll ask him/ her to give me the ball again and I’ll
repeat “My (I’ll point myself) name is Miss Mirari, What’s your (I’ll point the kid)
name?” and I’ll pass him/ her the ball again so he/she can answer. Then the kid
has to pass me the ball and I’ll repeat this with the other students.
Once we all have answered we will continue with the next activity.
Transition: “Very good job everyone! Now let’s sit again on your seats” I’ll point
the tables and chairs.
Development (10 minutes)
Purpose: to develop communicative skills; to foster interaction and to check
students’ knowledge of new vocabulary.
At this stage, students will be on their seats and I’ll give them a photocopy in
which they will have to draw their faces and write their names so we can then
stick the pictures on the classroom’s walls. I’ll have a copy for me so I can show
them what they have to do completing the photocopy with my picture and
name while I give them the instructions. “Well kids! Now you have to make
yourself here, this is you” I’ll point them and then I’ll point the head in the
photocopy. “And you have to write your NAMES here (I’ll follow the line with my
finger). My name is Miss Mirari, so I’ll write it here (I’ll write my name in the line).
You can use color pencils and crayons” I’ll give them the pencils and crayons. I’ll
go to their tables and repeat what they have to do for those who didn’t
understand. I’ll monitor their work. I’ll walk though the tables and observe
them. I’ll help them if necessary and I’ll ask them things or make comments on
their works. “Wow! How nice!”, “What’s your name? (I’ll point the line in which
they have to complete their names)”, “Very good”, “Great! I like it!”. When they
finish we will stick the pictures on the wall.
This is the photocopy I’ll use with the kids:
Transition: “Well done! I love the pictures. It’s time to say goodbye now (I’ll make
a sad face and shake my hand) but first, let’s learn the Goodbye song. Go and take
you bag (I’ll point the students bag that are hanging on the wall) and then come
here in front of the computer (I’ll make the gestures so they can understand what
to do)”
Closure (5 minutes)
Purpose: to raise students’ motivation.
Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UQfvAlmr5g0
At this point, children will be standing in front of the computer and I’ll show
them the video. I’ll sing the song and make the gestures alone while the video is
playing. We will listen to the song and then I’ll encourage them to sing and
make the gestures too. “Let’s do this together now, OK?” As the song is short we
will reproduce it as much times as needed. “Bye bye kids!”
Homework: I’ll send the students’ family a note in which I’ll tell them what we
did on the lesson and I’ll give them the link of the video we watched so they can
keep learning and enjoying the song at home.
Familia:
