task to do as they read and brainstorm about
the story, “The Devouring Rock”.

story
The Star Magic- This group will be assigned
to infer and analyze the traits of the
characters in the story.
The MMK – This group will be tasked to
relate the story with the pressing problems of
the townspeople of Laoac. They may also cite
specific individuals whom they think
demonstrate the same generating idea
depicted in their lives.
The Devouring Rock - This group will find
out the root causes of societal problems
present in the municipality which greatly affect
the lives of the people particularly the children
and their parents.

this activity, this will surely be of big help to
people who need help.

INTRODUCTION:
Struggles are part of this journey we call life. We are often faced with problems
which we consider the toughest ones. In the story, “The Devouring Rock”, we will be
able to unravel how the characters acted on the struggles they were faced.
It is also a good springboard for us to re-think in order to solve the problem in
broader perspective as a man of the 21st century and to influence others with our little
steps toward the good of all.
ACTIVITY 1: LET THE HEART SOFTEN THE ROCK!
A. Objectives
1. Identify possible causes of teenage depression in the Municipality of Laoac;
2. Provide possible solutions that may be implemented to help the teenagers who
suffer from depression.
B. Procedure
1. Using the table table, list down the possible causes of teenage depression in
Laoac, Pangasinan.
