Anxiety is an inner feeling of apprehension, uneasiness, worry, and/or dread that is accompanied by heightened physical arousal. It exists in several categories including normal, neurotic, intense, state, and trait anxiety as well as panic attacks and post-traumatic stress disorder. While realistic concern is allowed, anxiety in the form of fret and worry is forbidden in the Bible. Anxiety has several causes such as threat, conflict, fear, unmet needs, physiology, and individual differences. It produces physical, psychological, defensive, and spiritual reactions. Counseling for anxiety involves recognizing one's own anxieties, calming tension, showing love, identifying sources, making interventions, encouraging action, giving support, and encouraging
