1) LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is a popular green building certification program used worldwide that provides a framework for creating healthy, efficient, and cost-effective buildings. 2) In Bangladesh, the number of buildings receiving LEED certification has increased each year from 2013 to 2017, with 7 buildings receiving certification in 2017. 3) The highest LEED certification level is Platinum, followed by Gold then Silver; points awarded determine the certification level. In 2017, 3 Bangladeshi factories received Platinum certification for achieving over 80 points.
