The leaf insect, also known as the walking leaf, is an insect that resembles a leaf to camouflage itself from predators. There are over 50 species of leaf insect that can be found in tropical forests, with bodies and legs flattened and shaped like leaves that vary in coloration depending on their surroundings. They use their leaf-like appearance and ability to blend in with their environment as camouflage experts while they feed as herbivores on plants and trees.
