  2. How many people in the room can identify someone that served as a mentor to them Was it a formal relationship Was it someone in your place of work or outside. Do you still work with that person/ have you maintained the relationship Have your mentors change over times
  3. What is your organizations approach to performance evaluation? Is it done consistently. Do you discuss goals and development opportunities? Are you preparing your staff for where they should be in five years, even if that means they are not working for you. Do you discuss with employees where they have demonstrated leadership—do you communicate that you think of them as a leader and the future of the organization
