Leadership style - Autocratic Style - Do as I say Advantage: โ€ข It allows fast decisions to be made. โ€ข It improves overall communication. โ€ข It improves productivity. โ€ข It handles crisis situations effectively. โ€ข It reduces employee stress. Disadvantage: โ€ข It often leads to micromanagement. โ€ข It does not offer a sense of professional ownership. โ€ข It creates a lack of trust.

Disadvantage: โ€ข It can cause leaders to start fence-sitting โ€ข It struggles to offer a clear definition of leadership โ€ข It does not always offer a positive outcome

Leadership style - Visionary Style โ€“ Come with me Advantage: โ€ข There is a clear idea of the overall goal that everyone is working towards โ€ข focus the teamโ€™s energy on what ultimately matters to make that overarching goal a reality โ€ข proactive and can often foresee challenges โ€ข value innovation and creativity and help your team to thrive in these areas โ€ข Place high value on acknowledging workerโ€™s achievements and making them feel valuable Disadvantage: โ€ข There is less emphasis on the smaller details that impact the day-to-day operation of the organization. โ€ข The vision may be lost if its too intertwined with the personality of the leader. โ€ข A visionary leader can easily get a team excited about a project but often loses this momentum because thereโ€™s no follow-through.
