The study investigates the effect of growth regulators on the in vitro multiplication of Dendrocalamus hamiltonii, an economically significant bamboo species in India. Using MS medium supplemented with various concentrations of auxins and cytokinins, the research identifies optimal conditions for shoot multiplication, revealing that combinations of BAP with NAA and Kinetin yield the highest sprouting rates and shoot lengths. The findings are crucial for the sustainable propagation of this bamboo species amidst pressures from over-exploitation.
