• Moderate sized tree with dark greyish brown bark
exfoliating in long narrow strips

base of the rachis , pinnae 40-80, leaflets 60-100, small
and ligulate
• Flowers – Dark yellow in cylindrical spikes
• Fruits- Thin glabrous straight dark brown pods

2-3 together on short lateral branches , stamens exerted
beyond the corolla tube
