Czym są licencje CC i jakie mają zastosowanie? Kamil Śliwowski bezboleśnie przeprowadzi uczestników drugiego webinarium przez podstawy prawa autorskiego oraz praktyczne aspekty używania licencji Creative Commons.
All of us prepare many educational and promotional materials. We share our work and experience with others but rarely we do it in a way that can guarantee that those materials will be accessible, easy and safe to re-use for other educators or to general public. This is why it’s good to know how open licensing models work and how to use and publish with Creative Commons licenses – for our common good. The webinar about CC licensing aims at bringing together basic knowledge about open copyright models with an experience of how easy and useful it is to use CC in higher education.
This document provides an overview of the research process presented by Susan Luévano, an ethnic studies librarian at CSULB. It covers several key areas of researching including developing search strategies, selecting appropriate databases, using Boolean operators and truncation, evaluating sources and applying information. The document also provides examples and opportunities for students to practice developing search strategies and identifying appropriate databases and research questions.
Explica las formas para el sujeto (I, you, he, she, it, we, you, they) y el objeto (me, you, him, her, it, us, you, them). También cubre los pronombres posesivos (my, your, his, her, its, our, your, their) y la forma neutra de "it".

The document is a story explaining why people get butterflies in their stomach when feeling nervous. It tells of a young girl named Sophie who swallowed a butterfly that laid magical eggs in her stomach. When the eggs hatched into caterpillars, she would feel them flutter around whenever she felt nervous. As she grew older, she realized this was why she had the strange feeling in her stomach when anxious. She eventually learned from a wise man that the magical butterfly story was true and this explained the butterfly sensation.
This document provides guidance on conducting research for a Women's Gender and Sexuality Studies course. It outlines a 5-step research process including developing a search strategy with keywords and databases, searching databases, evaluating resources, applying information, and revising the process. Specific databases are recommended for finding peer-reviewed sources on the topic of accessibility of emergency contraception under President Obama. Search techniques like Boolean operators and truncation are also described.

1) Marty Tenenbaum survived metastatic melanoma after responding remarkably to an experimental vaccine in a clinical trial that otherwise failed. He started Cancer Commons to create a database of "exceptional responders" like himself to help identify effective treatments.
2) Dr. David Carbone treated a woman with advanced lung cancer who had a spectacular response to a drug not approved for her cancer. Genetic testing revealed a rare mutation that explained her exceptional response.
3) Researchers are studying exceptional responders to cancers to learn why some patients have remarkable recoveries to specific treatments and to identify genetic factors that could help match other patients with effective therapies.
The document provides guidance on conducting research on Latin@s and health, including developing search strategies, selecting relevant databases, evaluating resources, and applying information. It recommends setting up a consultation with the ethnic studies librarian Susan Luévano for additional help with the research process. Key databases highlighted include PubMed, CINAHL, PsycINFO, and Academic Search Complete.
The document introduces the "Five Universal Facts of Fiction" tool for analyzing and summarizing works of fiction. The five facts are: 1) It is about the main character, 2) It is about what the character wants, 3) It is about how the character gets what they want or don't, 4) It is about how the character changes, and 5) It is about the world the author creates. The document then analyzes the Harry Potter book using this tool, summarizing Harry's character traits and journey.

Creative Commons - everything you want to know:) centrumcyfrowe
This document discusses issues with traditional copyright and how Creative Commons (CC) provides solutions through standardized copyright licenses. CC licenses allow creators to grant permissions for others to use and share their work while still retaining copyright. The licenses provide options like allowing adaptations (SA) or prohibiting commercial use (NC). CC also provides tools to dedicate works to the public domain and identify works already in it.

Anna Stokowska: podsumowanie cyklu webinarów o Otwartych Zasobach Edukacyjnyc...centrumcyfrowe
Karolina Grodecka: Adaptowanie i publikowanie Otwartych Zasobów Edukacyjnych....centrumcyfrowe
Pozwala to nauczycielom, autorom kursów i zajęć uniknąć trudnego i czasochłonnego przygotowywania zasobów. Celem webinaru jest zdobycie umiejętności dostosowywania otwartych zasobów edukacyjnych do własnego kontekstu i potrzeb wynikających ze specyfiki nauczanego przedmiotu.
W rezultacie webinaru uczestnicy będą:
-rozumieli różnicę między wykorzystaniem OZE i zasobów objętych tradycyjnym prawem autorskim,
-potrafili korzystywać z OZE zgodnie z warunkami licencji,
-znali sposoby efektywnej lokalizacji otwartych treści,
-znali serwisy do publikacji własnych materiałów w sieci w otwarty sposób.
-znali najpopularniejsze wyszukiwarki OZE,
W otwierającym webinarium naszego cyklu Alek Tarkowski przedstawi możliwe scenariusze korzystania z otwartości w edukacji i nauce.

Infoactivism refers to using digital technologies and information to enhance advocacy and social or political change campaigns. It involves tactics like mobilizing people, visualizing issues, adding humor, managing contacts, simplifying complex data, and investigating and exposing information. Digital activism allows activists to spread information quickly through social media and websites, monitor events through citizen reporting, and coordinate actions online. While it provides new capabilities, digital activists must also address issues like privacy, security, and credibility of information.
The document discusses the concepts of openness, open licensing, and open source in the digital age. It notes that traditional intellectual property regulation was made for analog times with limited distribution, while digital times enable many authors and unlimited copying. Various degrees of openness are discussed, from content not being available online to public domain with no rights reserved. Creative Commons licenses provide options from attribution to share-alike. Open source relies on copyright licenses that guarantee four freedoms: running the program, studying it, redistributing copies, and modifying/distributing modifications. Open resources provide accessibility, flexibility, durability and low costs.
