This study evaluated the toxic effects of ethanolic leaf extract of Sida acuta on the liver microanatomy and biochemical parameters in Wistar rats. The results indicated that while the control group showed normal liver architecture, those administered 100mg/kg and 200mg/kg of the extract exhibited distortion in liver morphology and significant decreases in liver enzyme levels, suggesting potential hepatotoxicity. It concluded that Sida acuta may have adverse effects on liver structure and function at the doses tested.
