Anthony Yap Chee Ping, Jeremiah Tan Sei Choon, Tan Wee Tiong, and Wilson Tay Swee Kiat presented on Russian physiologist Ivan Pavlov who was born in 1849 in Russia. Pavlov won the 1904 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for his work studying the physiology of digestion and the pancreatic nerves. He also received gold medals for his work on the pancreatic nerves and was elected as an Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences in 1907 and received an honorary doctorate from Cambridge University in 1912.
