2. Taylor Gonzalez
• Bookmark websites or links online on
a site such as delicious.com
• Organize bookmarks with “tags”.
Similar to hash-tagging
• Search tags to find information on
certain topic
• Comment on bookmarks
• Not as well-known as social
networking sites
SOCIAL
BOOKMARKING

SOCIAL
NETWORKING
4. Brandon Lopez
• Examples: World of Warcraft, Farmville, Mario.
• Make learning fun and enjoyable
• Allow player to take risks and make decisions
they wouldn’t in real life
• Games like Farmville can teach the user how to
manage money and how much work it takes to
raise crops and keep animals alive
• Interaction with others in games such as World
of Warcraft can help players learn the
importance of collaboration
GAMES
5. Brandon Lopez
• Most interesting: Games
• We have played games our whole lives but did not consider
how they assist in education
• Surprised us: iLearn/Social Networking
ITEC
• We were surprised that iLearn is considered a Social
Networking site and we now have a grasp on how we can
use Social Networking to our advantage instead of only for
pointless status updates
• We want more: Social bookmarking
• We were unaware of social bookmarking before taking this
class but we see how useful it can be in other classes in the
future, especially during group activities.
INVESTIGATION
6. Taylor Gonzalez
We will continue to use:
• Games & MMOGS
• MMOGs can be used to train employees in
certain careers and games will always be a
fun way to relax and have some fun while
still learning
• Social Networking
• Sites such as LinkedIn can be used to find
a career and network with important people.
