                                                             Present sir !
Mr. M.Prakash is an ideal teacher who is inspired by
Swami Vivekananda. 20 years ago he started his

small banyan tree. Today it is a full-fledged institution
with 3000 students and provides employment to
around 150 people. He is an exception to the

Mysore, he chose going back to his home town Bannur, to
set up an educational institution. Today, children from all
over the state seek admissions to this school. Even
children from Mysore are enrolling at this school which by
                          itself speaks about its reputation.

Mr. Prakash maintains simplicity and honesty in all his deeds. He says that he will
make a good citizen out of any child enrolled to this school. Children should not grow
up on a bed of roses but must realize the hardships to life. Following this idea,l all
students and teachers of this institution sleep only on straw mats and wake up at
4:30 in the morning to start their day. Mr. Prakash is a role model to all of them who
follows these rules. It is rare to see such a simple, humble, modest and honest
teacher. It is an honour to have such a teacher amongst us on this “Teachers' Day”.
We welcome you 'Sir'.

  • 1. Issue : 10 Volume : 32 5-09-2012 Pages -4 Present sir ! Mr. M.Prakash is an ideal teacher who is inspired by Swami Vivekananda. 20 years ago he started his school Vivekananda Educational Institution under a small banyan tree. Today it is a full-fledged institution with 3000 students and provides employment to around 150 people. He is an exception to the statement “The young are irresponsible and leave CD villages, looking for greener pastures in cities”. While he could have taken up a good job and settled in Mysore, he chose going back to his home town Bannur, to set up an educational institution. Today, children from all over the state seek admissions to this school. Even children from Mysore are enrolling at this school which by itself speaks about its reputation. Mr. Prakash maintains simplicity and honesty in all his deeds. He says that he will make a good citizen out of any child enrolled to this school. Children should not grow up on a bed of roses but must realize the hardships to life. Following this idea,l all students and teachers of this institution sleep only on straw mats and wake up at 4:30 in the morning to start their day. Mr. Prakash is a role model to all of them who follows these rules. It is rare to see such a simple, humble, modest and honest teacher. It is an honour to have such a teacher amongst us on this “Teachers' Day”. We welcome you 'Sir'.
