Can one person truly immortalize himself? This is a question most people are often plagued with.
Although one s body is mortal, Ozymandias, written by Shelley, conveys the truth of immortality.
The poem is about a traveler telling a story about an Egyptian pharaoh,
Ozymandias, and his statue. In the poem, a statue of Ozymandias is described by the author as
crumbled and scarcely left. Even though he was successful in his time period, his legacy could not

The Florida landscape has inspired many individuals to write about the natural beauty of the
land. Florida has many environmental qualities that draws people to it. This state of Florida
has a truly unique habitat, and some of it is unexplainable. The flora and fauna of the state of
Florida is an anomaly, containing palm frond wasps that are aggressive, and mean snakes
of all sorts. Cultures converge in this melting pot of the United States. Florida is unique place

My solution of earning credits for exercising will solve the problem of obesity because it
addresses some of the primary sources, including lack of time, stress, and inexperience. Lakeland
College is able to easily transfer a similar physical education course that is required by other
universities into the curriculum. This class will be flexible to meet students schedules, the credits
will motivate students to manage time for exercising, and exercising will help reduce their stress

This amounts to 165 minutes a week for a three credit class that meets three times a week for 55
minutes. This is not that far off from the weekly amount of needed fitness hours per week.
According to Women s Health magazine the correct amount of exercise for any gender adult is
150 minutes a week (Narins). This means the physical education course could easily be
translated to reach the requirements of contact hours of a typical three credit course. However,
where this physical education course would fall short compared to other classes would be the

The Melting Pot Of America
The melting pot of America is a concept of social and racial acceptance, where individuals from
across the globe can be transparently acknowledged, without being judged by their ethnicity or
race. A thought doesn t specifically reflect reality all the time, as the melting pot has never been
broadly acknowledged in America at any point in our nation s history. With the pandemic of
violence growing and tensions rising between races, with groups like Black Lives Matter, and
Antifa, contrasts between racial groups run widespread with hate against one another for the color
of their skin. However, Texas State University student Rudy Martinez, wrote an article in the
university s newspaper about how to end these tensions. Martinez affirms that all these racial
tensions come from a social construct made by white peoplecalled, whiteness , which assimilates
and separates all races from whites. Throughout the article, he explains that the separation caused by
whiteness kept all other races down, while whites remained oblivious to the advantages their skin
brings them. But despite having an interesting concept, there are many weaknesses in Martinez s

discrimination; however, in this often unjust world, discrimination continues. Hence, federal and
state protections exist for certain groups of people sharing common characteristics. Some of these
protected classes are race, religion or creed, gender, and disability (EEOC, 2015). In the legal case
of Ritter v. Auntie Ruth s Furry Friends (ARFF), Ritter claimed she became the target of age
discrimination after the business was sold to two people under the age of thrty. The following is
an overview of the case that highlights how ignorance of or willful disregard of the rights of

Prior to completing this lab I believed the nail would be more dense than the stopper. After
performing the experiment, the iron nail contains more particles by volume than the rubber stopper
does.

10. The accepted value for the density of aluminum is 2.699 g/cm3. Using this density and the
masses of your two samples of aluminum foil, calculate the volume of aluminum in each sample:
the regular vs. the heavy duty. (Note: You will have to use a bit of algebra and the formula D = m
/v for this calculation!) You must show all your work. (15 pts)
Regular Aluminum Foil:
2.699 g/cm3=0.67g/volume
2.699 g/cm3 x 0.67g= volume
Volume= 1.81 cm3

Heavy Duty Aluminum Foil:
2.699 g/cm3=0.97g/volume
2.699g/cm3 x 0.97g=volume
Volume= 2.62 cm3
11. Using the volume(s) you just calculated for regular vs. heavy duty samples as well as your
dimensional measurements (length and width in cm) from Part IV of this experiment, calculate
the height, or thickness, of each sample of aluminum using the formula V = l x w x h. In the
formula, V stands for volume, l for length, w for width, and h for height. Once again, you will
have to use your algebraic skills to manipulate the formula, to solve for height. You must show all
your work. (15 pts)
