A study on seismic performance of high rise irregular rc framed buildingseSAT Journals
Abstract Earthquakes are known as one of the most unpredictable and devastating of all natural disasters, however the unpredictable nature of occurrence of these earthquakes makes it difficult to prevent loss of human lives and destruction of properties, if the structures are not designed to resist such earthquake forces. In this paper attempt has been made to study two types of plan irregularities namely diaphragm discontinuity and re-entrant corners in the frame structure. These irregularities are created as per clause 7.1 of IS 1893:2002(part1) code. Various irregular models were considered having diaphragm discontinuity and re-entrant corners which were analysed using ETABS to determine the seismic response of the building. The models were analysed using static and dynamic methods, parameters considered being displacement, base shear and fundamental natural period. From the present study the model which is most susceptible to failure under very severe seismic zone is found, modelling and analysis is carried out using ETABS. Keywords: Diaphragm, re-entrant, static, dynamic.
ANALYSIS OF WIND & EARTHQUAKE LOAD FOR DIFFERENT SHAPES OF HIGH RISE BUILDINGIAEME Publication
Modern tall buildings have efficient structural systems, and utilize high-strength materials, resulting in reduced building height, and thus, become more slender and flexible with low damping. These flexible buildings are very sensitive to wind excitation and earthquake load causing discomfort to the building occupants. Therefore, in order to mitigate such an excitation and to improve the performance of tall buildings against wind loads and earthquake loads, many researches and studies have been performed. Early integration of aerodynamic shaping, wind engineering considerations,
and structural system selections play a major role in the architectural design of a tall building in order to mitigate the building response to the wind excitations.

Parametric study on an industrial structure for various dynamic loadseSAT Journals
Abstract
Industrial machinery produce vibrations during its operation. Vibrations are transmitted to structure. However, an industrial structure is designed for these dynamic effects. But there are some dynamic effects which still to be considered. Those are, wind, earth quake and accidental blast loads. Though these loads are not frequent, but its occasional appearance will destroy the structure. An industry with thousands of labours, if gets these occasional dynamic effect, then it might result in much fatal. Therefore an industrial structure must be designed in such a way, that it resists the force created by these dynamic effects and dissipates in a better manner. This study is a numerical analysis of an industrial structure, subjected to wind, earthquake and blast load. The results are compared for severity, and the remedial measures shall be discussed. By adopting the remedial measures, the analysis shall be performed again and the effects will be compared with the earlier results of a normal structure. Drafting software Auto CAD is used for modelling the structure and SAP 2000 analysis software will be used for dynamic analysis. The purpose of this research project work is to study and understand the behavior of structure for dynamic loadings.

Pushover analysis of rc frame structure with floating column and soft story i...eSAT Journals
Abstract Open first story and Floating column are typical features in the modern multi-storey constructions in urban India. Such features are highly undesirable in buildings built in seismically active areas; this has been verified in numerous experiences of strong shaking during the past earthquakes like Bhuj 2001. In this study an attempt is made to reveal the effects of floating column & soft story in different earthquake zones by seismic analysis. For this purpose Push over analysis is adopted because this analysis will yield performance level of building for design capacity (displacement) carried out up to failure, it helps determination of collapse load and ductility capacity of the structure. To achieve this objective, three RC bare frame structures with G+4, G+9, G+15 stories respectively will be analysed and compared the base force and displacement of RC bare frame structure with G+4, G+9, G+15 stories in different earthquake zones like Rajkot, Jamnagar and Bhuj using SAP 2000 14 analysis package. Effects of shape on the wind instigate response of high rise buildingseSAT Journals
Abstract A large number of structures that are being constructed at present tend to be wind-sensitive because of their slenderness, shapes, size, lightness and flexibility. With the ever increase in the vertical growth of urban cities, high rise buildings are being constructed in large numbers. In this study, analytical investigation of different shapes of buildings are taken as an example and various analytical approaches are performed on the building. These plans are modeled and wind loads are found out according to I.S 875(part 3)-1987 by taking gust factor and without taking gust factor. These models are compared in different aspects such as storey drift, storey displacement, storey shear, etc. for different shapes of buildings by using finite element software package ETAB’s 13.1.1v. Among these results, which shape of building provide sound wind loading to the structure as well as the structural efficiency would be selected. Key Words: Storey displacement, Storey drift, Storey shear, Gust, Wind load

Immunizing Image Classifiers Against Localized Adversary Attacksgerogepatton
This paper addresses the vulnerability of deep learning models, particularly convolutional neural networks
(CNN)s, to adversarial attacks and presents a proactive training technique designed to counter them. We
introduce a novel volumization algorithm, which transforms 2D images into 3D volumetric representations.
When combined with 3D convolution and deep curriculum learning optimization (CLO), itsignificantly improves
the immunity of models against localized universal attacks by up to 40%. We evaluate our proposed approach
using contemporary CNN architectures and the modified Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR-10
and CIFAR-100) and ImageNet Large Scale Visual Recognition Challenge (ILSVRC12) datasets, showcasing
accuracy improvements over previous techniques. The results indicate that the combination of the volumetric
input and curriculum learning holds significant promise for mitigating adversarial attacks without necessitating
adversary training.

Hierarchical Digital Twin of a Naval Power SystemKerry Sado
A hierarchical digital twin of a Naval DC power system has been developed and experimentally verified. Similar to other state-of-the-art digital twins, this technology creates a digital replica of the physical system executed in real-time or faster, which can modify hardware controls. However, its advantage stems from distributing computational efforts by utilizing a hierarchical structure composed of lower-level digital twin blocks and a higher-level system digital twin. Each digital twin block is associated with a physical subsystem of the hardware and communicates with a singular system digital twin, which creates a system-level response. By extracting information from each level of the hierarchy, power system controls of the hardware were reconfigured autonomously. This hierarchical digital twin development offers several advantages over other digital twins, particularly in the field of naval power systems. The hierarchical structure allows for greater computational efficiency and scalability while the ability to autonomously reconfigure hardware controls offers increased flexibility and responsiveness. The hierarchical decomposition and models utilized were well aligned with the physical twin, as indicated by the maximum deviations between the developed digital twin hierarchy and the hardware.
