The document presents a new C-Miner algorithm for efficiently finding the top-k competitors of a given item from large datasets. It proposes a formal definition of competitiveness between two items based on the market segments they can both cover. The C-Miner algorithm uses a pyramid finder technique and dominance relationships to reduce the number of items that need to be considered during computation. It then incrementally calculates competitor scores and prunes items to identify the top-k competitors. The approach provides an effective solution for identifying competitors from large, real-world datasets across different domains.
This paper investigates if forecasting models based on Machine Learning (ML) Algorithms are capable to predict intraday prices in the small, frontier stock market of Romania. The results show that this is indeed the case. Moreover, the prediction accuracy of the various models improves as the forecasting horizon increases. Overall, ML forecasting models are superior to the passive buy and hold strategy, as well as to a naïve strategy that always predicts the last known price action will continue. However, we also show that this superior predictive ability cannot be converted into “abnormal”, economically significant profits after considering transaction costs. This implies that intraday stock prices incorporate information within the accepted bounds of weak-form market efficiency, and cannot be “timed” even by sophisticated investors equipped with state of the art ML prediction models.
The disruptometer: an artificial intelligence algorithm for market insightsjournalBEEI
Social media data mining is rapidly developing to be a mainstream tool for marketing insights in today’s world, due to the abundance of data and often freely accessed information. In this paper, we propose a framework for market research purposes called the Disruptometer. The algorithm uses keywords to provide different types of market insights from data crawling. The preliminary algorithm data-mines information from Twitter and outputs 2 parameters-Product-to-Market Fit and Disruption Quotient, which is obtained from a brand’s customer value proposition, problem space, and incumbent space. The algorithm has been tested with a venture capitalist portfolio company and market research firm to show high correlated results. Out of 4 brand use cases, 3 obtained identical results with the

cCorrGAN: Conditional Correlation GAN for Learning Empirical Conditional Dist...Gautier Marti
A Generative Adversarial Networks model to generate realistic correlation matrices. In these slides, we discuss a use case in quantitative finance (comparison of risk-based portfolio allocation methods), and how to improve the seminal model with information geometry (Riemannian neural networks suited for correlation matrices). There are many use cases to explore within, and outside, quantitative finance. The Riemannian geometry of correlation matrices is still under-developed.
We highlight exciting problems at the intersection of Riemannian geometry and deep learning.

UNDERSTANDING CUSTOMERS' EVALUATIONS THROUGH MINING AIRLINE REVIEWSIJDKP
Data mining can be evaluated as a strategic tool to determine the customer profiles in order to learn
customer expectations and requirements. Airline customers have different characteristics and if passenger
reviews about their trip experiences are correctly analyzed, companies can increase customer satisfaction
by improving provided services. In this study, we investigate customer review data for in-flight services of
airline companies and draw customer models with respect to such data. In this sense, we apply two
approaches as feature-based and clustering-based modelling. In feature-based modelling, customers are
grouped into categories based on features such as cabin flown types, experienced airline companies. In
clustering-based modelling, customers are first clustered via k-means clustering and then modeled. We
apply multivariate regression analysis to model customer groups in both cases. During this, we try to
understand how customers evaluate the given services and what dominant characteristics of in-flight
services can be from the customer viewpoint.
This lesson begins with explaining the linear regression method characteristics, and uses. Linear regression method attempts to best fit a line through the data. Using an example and the forecasting process, we apply the linear regression method to create a model and forecast based upon it.

Cosmetic shop management system project report.pdfKamal Acharya
Buying new cosmetic products is difficult. It can even be scary for those who have sensitive skin and are prone to skin trouble. The information needed to alleviate this problem is on the back of each product, but it's thought to interpret those ingredient lists unless you have a background in chemistry.
Instead of buying and hoping for the best, we can use data science to help us predict which products may be good fits for us. It includes various function programs to do the above mentioned tasks.
Data file handling has been effectively used in the program.
The automated cosmetic shop management system should deal with the automation of general workflow and administration process of the shop. The main processes of the system focus on customer's request where the system is able to search the most appropriate products and deliver it to the customers. It should help the employees to quickly identify the list of cosmetic product that have reached the minimum quantity and also keep a track of expired date for each cosmetic product. It should help the employees to find the rack number in which the product is placed. It is also Faster and more efficient way.
