This study assessed the groundwater quality and productivity in Melaka District, Malaysia. 238 shallow boreholes and 20 deep boreholes were analyzed along with pumping test data. The shallow groundwater potential was low with average discharge under 5 m3/hour, while the deep groundwater potential was high with over 20 m3/hour. Based on the findings, 32% of the district was low potential, 56% was moderate, and 12% was high potential. Water quality testing of 68 samples found the deep aquifer water to be fresh and suitable for drinking with minimum treatment.
