Categories.
Go to Page, click View All

Then go to top of page. Click Manage Menus for manage location on the site.
Click front page and see menu
Now, let’s use our Categories to see how organizing posts work
Go to Dashboard
Click Posts> All Posts
Click Add New
Create a Post (Title and mock text)
Remember to (de)select discussion/likes and shares
Select Week One category

See where your post has gone
We want it only to go to menu location, not the front page
So, let’s select a static front page
Go to Settings
Go to Reading
Go to Front page displays: Select Static Front Page
Select About our class
Here is where you can also set your site visibility
Save changes
Now, check your menu to see where your post (or a student post) appears
Let’s do the same thing for course content
Create “Course Video” category
Go back to Menu and add “Course Video” category to list, select location
Create a post
Embed video from Youtube
Select “Course Video” category
Update
Now, all posts created with “Course Video” categories will appear under the menu
Let’s design on Front Page
Go to Appearance
Go to Widgets
Look through Widgets
Using right side to organize
The Test Site that was used as an example in this workshop can be seen here:
